  2. I agree with Guff and others who have said that the Sox will need home runs, possibly a few with men on base, in order to win. Maybe come up with a new pitching strategy with Teel on board. Pitch inside on the hands if they are getting aggressive. I think there may be a fight in that game. Tensions are high.
  3. Davis is better than Richards. He has some skills that perhaps can be further developed. They need to sign a starter...there are several mid-tier FA starters available. Trading for veteran starting pitchers is a losing proposition. The Sox made a terrible buy in July...but it wasn't just the Sox - most of the buys were bad. Last Offseason -Gore, Baz. Yuk. And the Sox history this century has largely been abysmal when trading for staring pitching. The ones we've traded away have been good; perhaps that's the answer. Draft better or trade for others' young pitxhers and keep them.
  4. My guess is that you don't go to many if any White Sox games, probably never lived in Chicago or have much knowledge about the South side. Your pseudo-intellectual posts don't impress me. You choose to kiss Ishbia's ass and trust his motives, why.. because he is a billionaire and of course, billionaires never have self-interest at their core. Meanwhile you fail to address the two main issues in any reasonable way and cite absurd facts like the distance by way of crow flight between Rate field and the Rail yard. You think that the industrial train yard in the South Loop is a residential neighborhood like the South side. First, focus on moving an enormous rail yard between 22nd street and 39th street, a project that even White Sox ownership had no idea about its scope. Thousand of residents live within a short distance. This has become an area that has stabilized in large measure because of the White Sox and associated businesses. Many Chicago property owners have rehabbed or constructed new residences in an area that is not wealthy, but is pretty nice. Why should they have their property values, neighborhood and lifestyles impacted by the Winnetka billionaire? Look, Chicagoans have a good idea what these kind of rail yards look like. Look at CN Joliet or CN Markham, neither of which is located in a gentrified residential neighborhood. This is insane. Second, study the proposed "railyard" stadium renderings. The parcel is not large enough for a conventional mlb stadium so a tall right field wall along the canal similar to the Green Monster will be required. On the East side of this stadium there are functioning rail road tracks and a street with elevated covered walkways attach to adjacent buildings. This is what results from a flawed and rushed process and an intense, misguided ambition fueled by wealth and avarice.
  5. Hamstring or knee tweak and then he also had that recurring blister.
  6. It's hilarious you made this posts almost back to back.
  7. Tyler Davis Brazobust and Richards aren't exactly guys you can count on. The fact that Hicks and 97-99 mph Fedde are the two best options now before Taylor from the rh side should tell you a lot. Ofc, jury still out on Sandlin as well.
  8. He would have had a usage for sure.
  9. Considering they kinda still need a high-leverage RHP, he may have had a use. He just isn't a closer. Bullpen feels so lefty now
  10. I believe the Sox took on approximately $14 million with the Castillo/Seranthony trade. That was $14 million and a good prospect wasted.
  11. If they have this much money, he would have sat on the contract until next year. No need to trade him AND have to push Smith into the deal because of it.
  12. Yea… I think there may be more going on with him and Kay likely also is battling something undisclosed.
  13. Last time I painted my face black was for the ALCS in LA for that game 5. Before the woke police were a thing. It’s about sports fandom. Not race. Clear that up?
  14. Martin has already stated that he's been dealing with a leg injury (hamstring?) if I remember right.
  15. It is our turn to put big numbers on the board. This team has it in em.
  16. Today

  17. There’s not much to talk about. Put up or shut up. Win or go home. Matches are set. Teams known. It’s go time. Pretty much all that’s left is a 26 hour wait.
  18. They had a post-season appearance in 2021 as well if you don't want to count 2020
  19. Or people need to get a life, treat players and their families like people, and show some fucking respect.
  20. I'll stick with - regardless of what happens - this is easily a top 5 season in my White Sox fandom when I think of my enjoyment. Probably Top 3. I think I'd have '05, '00 and than this year. In fairness, I quite enjoyed the COVID squad as well (but hard to count it when it was a short-season). I'm not saying best Sox squads - more favorite seasons. Edit: 94 probably has to be in the list as well. Born in '83 so I'll start my memory from beginning of '90's.
  21. This 100%. I had to go for a walk last night during the game to cool off. Gotta just decompress a bit. We've all posted a fuckload this year. I see the 2027 rotation thread is still pretty active, so people are talking, just not about stuff so raw.
  22. GO TIME!!! GIVE US THE START OF YOUR LIFE BURKEY!!!
  23. Exactly. And you just KNOW this team wants to win the war against Cleveland. Take what we’re feeling and amplify it by a million. Our guys won’t go down without a fight and I want them to shock the world. This story isn’t over.
