  1. Past hour

  2. Romo is going to run into one tonight. Sox win 6-3.
  3. That was Nancy Armour at USA Today...the anti Christine Brennan. Hopefully she at least watched the Till movie, but doubt she has ever travelled to rural Mississippi or Louisiana. Cunningham is simply out to boost her brand and set up her post WNBA career. That said, the original comments Sophie made were something that's non-controversial to roughly 85% of Americans. (Although I don't personally believe that many rural Missourians don't at least lean center right on most issues.)
  4. One of two things occurred. Either #1, they thought the Dominguez was worth his contract and it STILL cost them Smith, or Dominguez is worth less than his contract so it took a prospect the level 9f Smith to make it balance. 8f Castillo was a pure dump, Smith wasn't necessary.
  5. The pitching regression through the entire organization is wild. Welkommen was lights out last season and had two really good pitches.
  6. Not saying he is Randy Johnson but go back and look at his early years. He struggled with walks and control at his size. It might take a while for Noah to figure it out. Way to early to give up on him.
  7. Would have liked to have given him a chance in pen. Just looked at his numbers. Nevermind lol
  8. Difference with Cunningham is she's totally leaned into the right wing grift. Clark just plays ball. Won't say there isn't some racial aspect to the support she receives because there definitely is (among people who don't even watch wnba or women's sports at all), but it's in such bad taste to make a comparison to Emmett Till's murder. Two weeks late to this story lol.
  9. There are REAL fans who followed her since her and Paige Bueckers were freshman...and then the rabid Indiana and MAGA crowd that's consistentky tried to hijack her to their side in order to score political points, and are currently attempting to do the same with Cunningham. Like MJ's "Republicans buy sneakers too" comment...Clark has never once taken a side. Unless you call being friends with Taylor Swift and generically supporting "we vote/get out the vote efforts," which shouldn't be inherently partisan in a democracy.
  10. I was referring to this year. I would have said Castillo is good if talking about past years.
  11. was very decent...but not so much this year
  12. being a fan of Caitlin Clark is exactly the same thing as lynching a child. these people have worms in their brain.
  13. I figured they threw in Smith because Castillo is decent and Dominguez sucks.
  14. Bretton Woods speech incoming? Nixon and the gold standard? Fiat currencies? Trilateral Commission? Freemasons?
  15. Companies | Shore Capital PartnersShore Capital Partners is a private equity firm investing in the microcap healthcare, business services, and industrial sectors. They look to be pretty well diversified... What's that saying about not putting all your eggs in one basket? For individual investors, better never to have more than 10-15% of investments in any one stock, crypto, paintings, collectibles, farmland, real estate, etc.
  16. Today

  17. This is fair. We tread lightly and walk the line of being too critical due to these guys being non big leaguers. Their families all follow us and listen intently etc. I'm the managing editor of FutureSox. I love prospects or I wouldn't do this. I can't wait to trade prospects to win a title though. I got frustrated by my mentions and tweeted something snarky. I can be better about that.
  18. How many times have the Sox taken advantage of fans the last 15 years or so just to sell a few more concessions items instead of proactively informing everyone in a timely manner...on rain delays, game cancellations, no shows, etc.? Hopefully that goes away with Ishbia.
  19. This was stunning and brave of you. This controversy can be over, if the mods have the courage.
  20. They did take on the whole contract. Are you saying that they could've kept Boston Smith if they also kept Dominguez? I don't agree if so.
  21. So should we accept what he’s saying as true or not? Seems like you are saying both in this thread. Look, the whole thing is really strange. I don’t know what to believe. I’m not even trying to argue one way or another. But I do think an appeal is a strange thing pull out of your ass. My feeling is that there’s some truth in that. What do you think the purpose was of Venable coming out of the dugout? He doesn’t make mound visits unless he’s changing pitchers. That’s what makes the whole thing so weird.
  22. It was probably a mistake. Not unreasonable that Venable pulled a masterclass on this, but I doubt it. I'm less worried about the gaffe and more worried about Schultz turning into a decent starter though.
