  1. Past hour

  2. That could just as easily describe Austin Hays since 2020…
  3. Getting Peters back on track at the dish will be a huge boost for us in the dog days here… hope it happens.
  4. Who earns more $$$ next year, Doyle or Robert, Jr.?
  5. “I don’t want it… I just need it… to breathe, to feel, to know I’m alive.”
  6. That really is unbelievable. Too bad we haven’t been able to add more space ahead of them… but if we take care of business back at home, we’re sitting pretty and can take a breath.
  7. Seems like Colson is going to be hitting in the five hole when a LHP is starting, as this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this of late. It’s the right move. Also not surprised to see Braden dropped down to 8th - he’s really been struggling. Acuna may be a surprise pick to click, he’s got a homer in his only at bat against Suarez. I was surprised to see it already but based on Doyle’s last appearance, they already seem to have his hands up higher and his stance more upright. I figured they wouldn’t start tinkering with him at the plate for a couple of weeks. Now it’s time to cross the fingers and hope he has a breakout game soon! 🤞🏼 Finally, it’s always a sad day in some regard when the starting lineup omits Sam. Even though he’s been beat up facing lefties, I just love that kid and always want him playing on my team. It’s one of my few irrational biased when it comes to the team. 😆 LETS GO SOX!!!!
  8. He's also a switch hitter, which gives him an advantage against some LHPs.
  9. I think MLBTR sums up the situation, nicely. Cardinals Claim Everson Pereira - MLB Trade Rumors
  10. Braden has a .533 OPS and plays every game against them
  11. I'm keeping my mouth shut until our acquisition makes it out of the 4th inning tonight.
  12. And he does get ABs against lefties. What do we have to do to get people to acknowledge that?
  13. Says they found a mechanical tweak in June that's working well for him
  14. Okay Castillo, you can inspire a lot of man-crushes today...
  15. Yea hard for me to want a guy around who was never here to begin with, and when he was around there was an awful lot of “wtf is he doin”
  16. I really liked the idea of Pereira. I am saddened to see him DFAed. Doyle is a guy. That seems like a very risky move, coupled with the Pereira DFA. It straddles "balls in a wheel barrow" and pure hubris. As the late Mayor Harold Washington had said, "You know what Hubris is, don't you? That's audacity....Gone Wild!"
  17. Acuna in LF at Fenway - great idea Again what does Sam have to do to get some AB's vs a lefty??? Let the kid play
  18. Don't forget about Brooksy comin back
  19. The Rays would have to play out of their heads to be declared AL Central champs. LOL.
  20. chw42 replied to kwill's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He wasn't catching in St. Louis the past few years.
  21. There's also the datapoint of how many players can the glum ones claim to have "been in on from the start"
  22. Today

  23. Also, not catching 5 days a week might have something to do with it, too.
  24. I don't. He can't stay healthy.
  25. I really think we will regret letting Pereira go. Still need a RH corner outfielder / DH option for next year and beyond.
