  1. Today

  2. Royals could be on a 4 game losing streak by next weekend. We need some help with how hot and cold we have been
  3. Not sure about that. They are getting the Royals next weekend who are on a 7 game winning streak. Angels have also been better as of late.
  4. Damn the Guardians schedule is easy.
  5. Her husband plays for the Padres?
  6. A fan posted this at another Sox web site. The numbers don't lie: "Castillo's White Sox numbers after 4 starts: 5.89 ERA, 1.53 WHIP. And that was WITH 7 innings of shutout, 1 hit ball. So he's been complete DFA level crap for 3 of 4 starts, and they're on the hook to pay him 22 million next year. Getz is a genius." Well...could Castillo turn into James Shields version 2.0?
  7. Considering all the hoops they need to go through to make a new stadium a reality, not to mention the ownership succession process that might not possibly happen until 2034.....honestly, if they get a new stadium opened in time for the 2033 All-Star Game, IMO that would be a huge success for Jerry and Ishbia. A stadium isn't even the first thing slated for the Amtrak property - the Northwestern medical research campus is. We might not see a stadium open in the South Loop until 2035 or 2036.
  8. From the Sun-Times recap tonight: "Castillo will be around longer and figure much more into how this season plays out. If he can recapture some of the form that made him a three-time All-Star, the Sox could have something. If not, then the rotation will still be short." https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2026/08/22/luis-castillo-struggles-again-luis-robert-jr-hits-two-home-runs-in-white-sox-10-5-loss-to-mets
  9. All you can do is look at the results and they have not been good to say the least. Can they get better? Sure. Getz, the organization and the fan base damn well better hope so. A division title may be riding on it because the pitching staff is short handed and running on fumes.
  10. It amazes me that you think everyone but Ishbia is a gullible idiot, just waiting to be taken advantage of by the greedy billionaire, including the greedy billionaire he is already in business with to get all of th8s done.
  11. He is irreparably butthurt by the Sox letting Benetti go. I honestly think that's the reason.
  12. As someone who is not even a Getz fan, this is such shortsighted armchair GM nonsense.
  13. Would've been better off not making any trade but some GMs have this habit making trade just to make trades. He was right with the Vargas trade but it took awhile.
  14. S2K said: "This is property law as it applies to railroads, who have been granted near absolute power in this country by virtue of rewriting property law in the late 19th century to seize land to go cross continent and create company towns. You can turn it into a values judgment if you like, but I am stating facts and history here, from first hand experience. Yea there could be some legal (and factual) arguments that can be made, i.e., whether or not the land to be acquired next to the Armor Field house is really for a railroad purpose or primarily for a private purpose. LOL. The motive behind this as clear as light...but who wants to pay attorneys to go up against silk stocking attorneys from Amtrak and Ishbia in Federal Court? Concerned Sox fans? Cork and Kerry? ISFA? The Chicago Park District? As I alluded to earlier, this guy is just another billionaire bully that will pay-off anything or anybody in his way. No reason for that meeting in Bridgeport. This thing is a done deal. So Ishbia sh1tcans Bridgeport, Armor Park and Rate Field easily with almost no opposition and apparently, no consideration of alternatives.
  15. Padres being bros instead of dads.
  16. Yes, bought unwisely unfortunately.
  17. Bernstein only seems to care about the Cubs now
  18. Sox deserve no pity for having to play the Mets.
