I understand the argument that a strike out is better than a ground out in double play situations. But what about leading off an inning, every situation that there are two outs, man on 3rd with less than 2 outs, 2nd and 3rd with less than two outs? You cannot make a blanket statement that a strike out is always less destructive than a ground out. I would have preferred that Mune hit the ball with the bases loaded....sometimes even pop ups are dropped....anyone remember Gordon Beckham??

This. He did stuff that other players do all the time, and they never get called for it. Perfect example was the show the lefty reliever put on last night being way more in your face than anything TA ever did. No one said a word.

This feels like such an emotionally devastating loss, that if not for CW (hopefully KM) returning next week, I’d be worried about a post Hail-Mary spiral. Fan season. Had to turn game off last night for middle innings as it was bumming me out seeing it unfold, tuned back in to see some more bad ABs in the 8th and 9th. Ultimately the team just didn't have enough. I don't think they really choked so much as ran out of gas. None of these guys had played 160+ games in a season into October. It was a great experience and now players know what it will take when they resume off season workouts in a month or two. Turning the page to Bulls hoops locally. Should be another good season for Illini and it's a house money season for UM Hoops after the natty. See how the Bears do but I'm not much of any NFL fan. UM football looks back in the wilderness, oh well.

If they win against them later in the season and again in the playoffs if they meet, it can. But right now I can careless about that and moreso this team getting healthy and this ass defense that Poles assembled get it together. I like Dennis Allen and I can't fault him for having s%*# to work with because Poles is allergic to drafting defensive talent in the draft. Thieneman is probably our best defensive player.. who we did pick in the 1st round. Wow.. what a novel concept using your resources to draft talent on defense in the draft instead of signing over the hill veterans or retaining guys from the prior regime who have clearly lose a step aka Jaylon Johnson or don't play at all aka Kyler Gordon.

Coach Johnson has openly said he believes Bagent is "one of the top 32 QB's in the league".

The Bears are missing their star QB and their best running back. They'll be fine. Today is just an awful performance.

Also I hope this shows Bagent ain't it. Kudos to him for suckering Poles into giving him 10 million because he's good in the QB room though.
