Alright so I missed all this from last night...but this guy was acting like he was getting live updates like JFK during the Cuban Missle Crisis. That was embarassing. He's still probably right but that was not a good look.

So 90 year old Uncle Jerry is awake at 1am in the morning and giving real time updates to NBB who is also sharing that insider info in real time on Twitter? Make it make sense guys. It’s so clear this guy is full of s%*# or at minimum overplaying his hand. BUT WHAT DO I KNOW?

Can someone post all the NBB Twitter receipts? Based on what I saw, there are only two options here: Dude is legit | got word we are signing Imai | panics that this will conflict with prior hard stance that we wouldn’t | went to the Twitters to share the news | gets yelled at by his source for posting too early | pretends that we aren’t signing Imai | will come clean that “he always knew” afterwards. Dude is a fraud | came across some fake insider suggesting the White Sox will land Imai | panics that this will conflict with prior hard stance that we wouldn’t | went to the Twitters to say despite his prior stance we may just end up landing Imai | realizes he has no idea | immediately does a 180 and says Imai ain’t happening | delete the tweets that expose him as a fraud to protect his “insider” reputation | continues to deny Yahoo Japan’s reporting that we are favorite Either way it’s clear that the Sox are landing Imai. I trust the Yahoo Japan reporting and we now have confirmation that only guy going against it (NBB) is a fraud. It’s officially time to start believing fellas!

That's all true and was taken into consideration. Until I hear that he's incapable of running the franchise I will act as if he is still capable and his mental facilities are still sharp. All indications point to that still being the case.

Once you start having to delete your own tweets, definitely. The truth of the matter is that it’s pretty easy to say you are pessimistic that Imai will be signing with the Sox due to him being a Boras client and there being more than one interested team. Chances are likely you will be correct.

Only if you trust that everything you read has a certain amount of validity and that JR is suddenly willing to spend money above and beyond expected levels. Or that there is Ishbia involvement in player payroll. Or Pope Ball is real. Just call me a Doubting Thomas when it comes to the Sox signing Imai. I had already comped his upside to Schwarber and Thome before I saw that podcast. It took them long enough to get to the meat and potatoes portion of Kay's interview. The floor however is what kept teams away from him as we know. I'm hopeful that having a livelier ball to hit than in Japan and a willingness to adjust will be helpful in producing a minmum of 30 HR.
