As a package, the Sox did what they had to do. They upgraded the 25, and didn't give up any of the vital pieces going forward. I will definitely quibble with the amount of returns, but they did improve for 26.

I don't get the Angels not trading Detmers. I'm not one to value prospects over real producing major leaguers, but that whole organization needs to be blown up and having Detmers still there is pointless for them. Maybe they think they can get more in the offseason? The Reds are also a head scratcher. They have no chance in the NL Central. Maybe a shot at a wild card, but they're so flawed they're not going anywhere in the postseason.
