  1. Past hour

  2. You know, kid, there is a cool team in pinstripes that you could root for instead.
  3. Nope a bet is a bet. When they win game #63, I'll have you DM me with your name, physical address and the check will be in the mail. Besides you never know, I may not be around in eight years or so.
  4. Burke is a reliable stopper at this time, to help avoid major losing streaks.
  5. For the year, Colson batting .188 w/RISP & .167 overall from the 6th inning on. Hasn't been very good since in NY, 33 games ago! Bene hitting .393 w/RISP, where would Sox be without him?
  6. That crying kid is possibly going to be the moment that changes this team and their chances of winning it all. Thanks you brat, the Sox are here to contend after all
  7. Could be the start of his comeback. Still throwing nasty scheisse. Tell you who else does. Burke. My idea of an ace. I love this team.
  8. Having an ace pitcher, and we've had one one way or another between Davis and Burke, is really key. Lineups run hot and cold, even good ones, usually an ace stays consistent. Lets hope Martin can find it again and Burke remains elite.
  9. I thought Jay Cuda was only allowed to post tragically bad things about the White Sox....I'm confused.
  10. You don’t swing at any Cruz low pitches that look like a splitter. You would not be able to hit a Cruz splitter anyway. Is Colson coachable?
  11. Buy me a beer opening day at the new stadium in a few years and we'll call it even!
  12. Blackburn had allowed 4 HR all season, and only 4 ER since May 16 (0.92 ERA, 2nd best in MLB over that time) before the Sox tagged him for 2 HR/3 ER to tie the game.
  13. Of course it had to be the Banana Man to secure the split 🍌 Nice work by your first place Chicago White Sox to turn in a respectable homestand after a rough start. Had to empty both the pen and the bench for these last two, but they got it done. Putting up some fight in the first two kept Bednar unavailable for the Yanks, which ended up paying off. Meanwhile, the Sox staff gave up just two Manfred runs over the last 22 innings. Hat tip to Seranthony especially. 21-15 in one run games this year, after going 15-36 last year. 34 wins at home surpasses the 2025 total with 26 left to play. Win #57 last year was in game 147 last year (in a series win vs. the Rays coincidentally, which I'll take as a good omen for the upcoming series)
  14. For years and years and years, I thought that Steve Miller Bands' "Jet Airliner" was actually "Big Old Chad and Lionel"......I thought he was singing about going home to visit some old friends.
  15. You have to give these guys credit. They looked D.O.A. after the first two games in Cleveland, but came back to get the split. Did not look good in the first two games vs. the Yankees, came back to get the split. Just wish they could have given Burke some run support. He's becoming a hard luck pitcher. 14th time this season the Sox trailed in the 7th inning or later and won the game.
  16. For some reason I always sing this as: “P-P-P-Pete Rose and his bets” Popped in my head one day and just stuck.
  17. Certainly have to agree with you perhaps I'll be sending a check to DoYouEvenShift next week.
  18. We may see it tonight before Robbie Ray’s start
  19. Seranthony saving the game was an unexpected milestone.
  20. Im itching for a damn rumor
  21. It's funny I was watching on Gameday and thought "oh boy, every advanced scout must be telling their team that you don't have to throw the White Sox a strike"......and then Tristen gets a walk off walk haha.
  22. They are auditioning for the Chippendales in the off season.
  23. Coward wouldn't even show his face today. He was probably getting ready to post another thread about selling if we lost.
  24. He is swinging away at most everything outside the zone, and not cutting back the swing with 2 strikes. Not the man we wanted up with RISP in extras. Good that Peters was patient, and took the walk to win the game.
