  1. Past hour

  2. I really see a lot of the same strut from Burke that I saw from Jon Garland when he finally realized his potential. Love to see that confidence
  3. Apparently Brewers are in on Skubal. That would be a wicked top two in the rotation
  4. Burke’s last 12 starts: 70 IP (5.8/GS) | 11.44 K/9 | 3.09 BB/9 | 1.03 HR/9 | 2.57 ERA | 2.92 xERA | 3.30 FIP Burke’s last 7 starts: 45IP (6.4/GS) | 11.49 K/9 | 1.41 BB/9 | 0.81 HR/9 | 1.61 ERA | 2.54 xERA | 2.39 FIP Kid has been a long run dating back to mid May, but he’s really stepped it up as of late. This includes a dominant start against the Yankees on Jun 18th. Let’s hope he keeps it up and helps us get the split today.
  5. If it isn’t increasing regardless, you aren’t trying hard enough.
  6. I'd do sick, disgusting, unforgivable things for a win today and a big trade. Even just a rumor...a little taste is all I need.
  7. I may have to get back on Twitter/X for the weekend and/or turn off my wifi on my phone so I can access Soxtalk (still only works on cellular data). My normal weekend beer consumption may increase, for one reason or another.
  8. I believe he’s scheduled to make his first start back on Sunday if not traded beforehand.
  9. My issue with the Sox and their approach to trades or free agency is they waste money and assets to get marginally better. If you're going to trade just a few chips to pick up like 3 more games and maybe be marginally more competitive in round 1 don't bother. Save the money and chips for the off-season and go all in (or wait to do it the following year or that when you feel the time is right). That's one thing Preller seems to understand, if you're gonna swing, swing for the fences otherwise you're just showing enough effort to justify keeping your job but you don't have a viable strategy for legitimately winning it all and at the end that's all that matters.
  10. .....and we have a bidet in the clubhouse now!
  11. Today

  12. Being a selling team especially lately is just more depression mode for me. I love this game and team and when your selling you know it's just going to be a real slow slow end to the season. Plus you know the games for the rest of the season mean very little except for a handful of players development. Just doesn't make for a fun deadline when that happens.
  13. After the SFG/Boston starting failure, doubt he would agree after finding a more comfortable role in the pen again.
  14. Just spit balling here, but how about trying Jordan Hicks in the starting rotation in 2027?
  15. He made another rehab start on Tuesday and looked good. 4 innings I believe.
  16. Is Holmes still rehabbbg or is he ready to go?

Noticed on Burrowes with our infielder glut, he is playing center field tonight.
  19. Colson has gone from a 6 win pace to a sub 4. He is still plenty young and can improve, but as of now the swing & miss really limits his ceiling. They got to find a way to get his whiff rate back to Y25 levels.
  20. I fell asleep in the 11th against my will. What a nice thing to wake up to
  21. I’d prefer the Tigers hold Skubal and get nothing but a comp pick, but in lieu of that the Dodgers going after a SP we aren’t going to be interested in helpful.
  22. Alcantara might be on the market again now. LAD more interested in Skubal now with Ohtani's lingering uncertainty...
  23. Sox 2026 leaders in fWAR: Vargas, 3.2 (463 PA) Meidroth, 2.5 (436 PA) Murakami, 2.5 (313 PA) Peters, 2.5 (321 PA) Colson, 2.4 (424 PA) Antonacci, 1.6 (350 PA) Braden, 1.1 (167 PA) Just listing position players here.
  24. Yup! I absolutely love the trade deadline even though 90% of the time I am underwhelmed by what the Sox do. But this time will be different as I think Getz feels the need to be aggressive but also not do something stupid.
