this pitching even on a good day is maddening to watch.
-
8/30 White Sox @ Twins - Hicquidy vs. Matthews (1 PM)
I don't think you want him pitching more than that.
-
8/30 White Sox @ Twins - Hicquidy vs. Matthews (1 PM)
See, waiting to challenge a stupid pitch.

to me it looked like they had no shot even with a good throw. hicks had a problem and he got that feed in a bad spot to colson. this is on hicks, can't be falling behind every hitter and walking two guys.

He's just not throwing as many strikes as he was.

Yeah I figured Meidroth at least knocks that down to stop the run from scoring.

It’s too bad Hicks lost whatever magic he had coming off the IL a few weeks ago.

fucking walks and middling defense. ant has zero range.

It's important to remember that Castillo and Doyle are also longer term projects. They weren't just for this season.
I was using your remark as an example for WS23. We keep throwing around that "we gave a guy away for nothing". William Bergola was a "nothing" that we "gave away" Tanner Banks for, but he's a credible shortstop who was hitting .400 in AAA when he went down.

Hicks has no control
-

Neither of those guys is really a prospect; one was released by the Yankees in 2025 and the other just given to the Phillies by the Dodgers. That's fine; Hill is a 4th OF and did not warrant a real prospect. The problem is the other side: for whatever reason we sent 2 serious prospects for Doyle As for Woods, yea getting him for Eisert was a great move. He's made a lot of good moves.
