  2. Hagen Smith really needs something. He reminds me of Kopech. Weird mechanics, wild as hell.
  3. Quero is the least bad. Who is that guy Drew Romo, he is bad - quoting Ozzie the other night.
  4. I think he was hoping that they would be able to tack on insurance runs in the later innings so the end of the game would be more of a mop up situation than high leverage. Didn’t play out like that but thankfully it worked out anyway.
  5. My friends found this album in a budget bin somewhere. A lot of our ad libs came from this album for a few years. "What's your trip, turkey?!?"
  6. Bonemer and Roch are coming fast, plus if the Sox extend Mune there will be a log jam. The Soup Nazi in Seinfeld will ask Boston Smith, " You think you can make this team?"
  7. One final comment.. our catchers have been terrible, and the two wild pitches in the ninth would have been stopped by a better catcher than Quero. Our catchers have been unable to block/catch balls on the dirt all season long.
  8. Will be shocked if 84 is all we: End up with Will need for the division But your math checks out and is telling… so maybe I’m at least half wrong.
  9. Is Lee’s defense really that bad to justify keeping Romo on roster?
  10. Fortunately Ramirez is not 100%, and could not beat us this time.

This is your reminder that just two short years ago the Chicago White Sox homerun leader for the SEASON was Andrew Benitendi… With 20. We had three dudes match that before the flipping allstar break. What other stats can you pull that show just how far this team has come in a 2024 v 2026 fashion?
  12. I thought McDougal was going to have to pitch, and I wanted him in a low leverage position.
  13. Well you could say the same thing for the entire LAD farm system...except relief pitchers. Smith can't/couldn't DH? Designated hitters have an OPS of .758 this season.
  14. The White Sox would have to go 1-41 to lose 100 games. I don't think that's going to happen.
  15. Couldn't catch the end of this one so went back and read the gamethread.....and you guys still had me convinced that Richards was gonna blow this one and I already knew the final score.
  16. Plenty of stranded base runners by both teams.
  17. If sox can go 23-22 rest of the way, Tigers would have to go 26-18 to tie.
  18. Not impressed with Ozzie's speech for many reasons, but it was his day, and his call to make.
  19. Ted Knight was so awesome in so many things. He got a little bit typecast into the arrogant pompous old grouch role but he was a magnificent and hilariously funny actor. He was great not only in Caddyshack, but also Too Close for Comfort and the Mary Tyler Moore show.
  20. Unless Boston Smith can play cf or catcher he is blocked in Chicago.
  21. Posted this before the 5th. Was really confused with Venable's bullpen decisions today. If you know Taylor cant go then McDougal or Richards need to come in after Smith to push your better pitchers later down the line so we dont have one of them for the 9th.
  22. Seattle’s future star in left field.
  23. I agree now that I am sitting at the computer.
  24. The target of Castillo isn’t the crazy part… to me the crazy part was sending off Boston just so they could seemingly get out from Dominguez. Based on reporting out of Seattle, I really have a hard time believing we would have had to include anyone worth a bag of balls should we have simply taken on the salary dump.
