  1. Past hour
  2. Which is to say hes better than Bartolo's colonoscopy, but yeah. He is good though.
  3. NBB has the best track record of any insider that gets posted here.
  4. I’m skeptical that the Sox will get him even after the report from today, but it’s not because of “Northbrook Bob”
  5. Battle it out with Cannon and Burke giving up 5-7 runs
  6. The fact that Getz feels it's necessary to say that he and Brooks Boyer had to convince Jerry to sign Murakami is embarrassing, yes. It's a 2 year $34 million deal. That type of thing doesn't even cross the owner's desk in most places. Sox are in a good place. I'm excited for the future. I'll never forgive Reinsdorf for how he runs his teams though. He deserves no credit because he's a lazy old man who refuses to understand why he's been bad at this for so long. It's 3 playoff series wins in 40+ years of ownership. The day that he's no longer calling the shots will be one of the greatest in the history of the franchise.
  7. Imagine all the embarrassment some of our fans would have if Getz showed happiness again if they signed Imai like they were with Murakami.
  8. Oh just him trying to get better. Except I forgot how bad he's been.
  9. What was the Cannon article about and was it good or bad?
  10. Posting fee is a percentage of the amount of the contract .The bigger the contract the less the percentage is above a certain amount .
  11. He knows more than anyone else that posts on social media
  12. Why are we acting like “Northbrook Bob” knows anything?
  13. I swear its so strange to see people reading so much into comments made after a signing. Tell me what comment was bragging and why is it embarrasing to you ? You never struck me as the jaded type Sox fan before this. You usually seemed to understand that this organization wasn't likely to spend much JR money especially if there's a lengthy work stoppage and JR not wanting to be responsible for his children inheriting any debt. Its just the state of the organization now . It sucks but its not personally embarassing to me . I'm glad they didnt look a gift horse in the mouth. At least Keller and Getz did their due diligence and were able to find a way to get it done. The old Sox just wouldve been spectators. Now that would've been embarassing to sit on the sidelines like fans instead of MLB executives.
  14. I think the FA thing can be negotiated and that was what they did with Murakami. Not sure how that impacts the posting fee.
  15. Article pretty much sums up what the rest of this thread has said... describing the Sox as the Dark Horse team.
  16. I think they’re better off from the right side than others do. Taylor had freakishly bad luck. I think he’s a stud. Leasure looked like a leverage arm late last year, especially if that splitter continues to develop. Berroa has a shot. Vasil is more lucky than good, but he has the stones to pitch late. It’s the lefties I don’t like.
  17. Yeah, you gotta figure out the dumpster fire of a pen, but this team looks a whole lot better with another front line starter and a middle of the other thumper.
  18. Maybe that was it. I thought there was some point where we basically give them some rights in MLB. Ohtani didn't because he didn't have enough experience/age.
  19. Today
  20. I don't think you're wrong. Logically it would be like lightning striking twice under the same set of circumstances that allowed the Sox to get Murakami. I literally was going to start Imai thread on the last Imai posts I made when I read he wasnt getting offers but I posted in the Murakami thread instead. No one seemed to show much interest . Glad its gained some traction even if its just BS. I made the comment that if Ishbia was involved in some way it maybe could happen but that I didn't trust the WhitsoxDave source that said Getz called Justin Ishbia after the Mune signing.
  21. If the Sox sign Imai, they’re basically a .500 team. In that division, that would make you a contender. Let’s get it done!
