Going to the game tonight. If we keep doing what we did last night it will be my last of the year. That was a terribly disappointing loss. Looked like a team that shut it down and tried to coast, which is not good when fighting for a division.

I went from being upset to irrationally (potentially rationally?) excited about the Doyle deal like a day later. Hope he hits.

This team has been 1 step forward, 1 step backward for quite some time now. I gotta keep reminding myself how early they are still. Even so, a team that is ahead of schedule should win the division from one that traded their 2 best SPs, right? ...right?

Last night sucked but I think we will still end up taking this series. Our lovable bunch has proven they don't let tough losses get them down. Let's go!

Sam has not looked very good at 2nd all year. Good news is he’s playing there tonight and Meidroth is at SS. Nothing like downgrading both positions.

It was iffy, over the shoulder running with his back to the infield and nearly made a basket catch, would have been a helluva play if he made it. Does Chase make it? Potentially, but not certain.

I only saw it from a distance on a TV...was there a bloop that Antonacci should have caught?

What is the point of any of this? Every thread on SoxTalk is merely symbolic of how another year's gone by and how little we've grown, no matter how desperate we are that someday a better team will emerge, with each flicker of the fireworks behind the scoreboard, we know it's not to be, that for the rest of our sad, wretched, pathetic lives, this is who we are to the bitter end, inevitably, irrecovacly, Go White Sox?
