9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT
- Fire Chris Getz
Accepting the Sox collapse as tolerable, just because we came into the season with low expectations, is faulty thinking. Situations change and expectations change. The fact of the matter is, we had a lead in the division at the trade deadline, in a winnable division and made no moves to help us out, despite warnings from everywhere that we needed dependable pitching depth in both the rotation and pen. The starters who got us thru the first half were already at their historic innings limits. We are now experiencing exactly what was warned about. The reasoning was very similar to what we heard from the last regime during the last rebuild….dont mortgage the future, for today, in the hopes of a prolonged run of success. Well, opportunities for this franchise do not come often and nothing is guaranteed. Show me the sustained success from the last rebuild. I’m not saying to go all in, as I don’t think we were built to win a championship this year, but we should have made a better effort to at least address the concerns on this team and improve our chances to win the division and get this young team some playoff experience. Now it looks like the experience they walk away with is a complete collapse and depressing off-season.- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
The former mayor is against huge private investments in the city because billionaires will benefit from it and because of NIMBY outrage against building a facility on an existing railyard. It is no wonder this city saw an exodus of businesses under her watch and no wonder she didn't even make it to the runoff in her reelection bid.- 9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT
Still rooting for a rainout. They need the rest. Also just realized we haven't had a single doubleheader this year.- 9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT
Keep fighting, guys.- Fire Chris Getz
Ron posted it here. I remember reading the thread. As you can see, your tweet has since disappeared from Ron’s post and the very next post by ChiSox59 that quoted Ron’s initial post of your tweet. ChiSox59 even references your name and what you said in the tweet. Your tweet was about how Sox fans were basically stupid to question the deadline trades because they had likely never even seen Mason Adams or Boston Smith play in the minors, so apparently they weren’t qualified to critique the trades.- 9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT
Not since last night. Day-to-day with left shoulder and rib contusion.- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire

Have there been any updates on Tristan peters?- 9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT
Please save us Mother Nature 🥲- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
Patrick Fazio of NBC 5 posted this on Facebook. It makes sense that he didn't attend the meeting. This was about Amtrak's proposed facility, which they had been planning since before Ishbia got involved, and not about any of the redevelopment plans of the 14th St. the railyard. The attendees were already there to shout down Amtrak. I don't see where having Ishbia as a lightning rod for their anger would have accomplished anything other than to make for good local news clips. UPDATE: Ishbia’s rep tells us: “Justin Ishbia is not attending tonight’s meeting. I am not sure where that came from initially, but it was not us” Ald. Nicole Lee had posted on Facebook: “I am told that Shore Capital founder & White Sox minority owner Justin Ishbia plans to attend… ORIGINAL POST: White Sox minority owner Justin Ishbia is expected to answer questions tonight about his new stadium plan along the Chicago River in the South Loop. It would be at the Amtrak maintenance facility which is moving near the Sox current home Rate Field in Bridgeport. A community meeting tonight at 6:30 will be held at 2121 South Union Avenue for concerned neighbors- 9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT
I forgot what a lineup against a righty looks like. Pretty nice.- It's not the end of the world
Big BAD Bobby Jenks being ruthless as usual. 🤣- Fire Chris Getz
You're correct about this. I've praised Getz and other front office members for things that were good and I've always criticized them for things I think are bad. Saying people deserve to be fired over this is insane though. I never said anything about not being able to critique them. Which tweet? I don't generally delete tweets. I've never been one to hide from my bad takes on publicly available forums.- 9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT

It's is hard to be optimistic especially after we blew a big lead last night.- 9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT
Particularly Newcomb..- 9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT
Win the series. Not negotiable. And when I say "not negotiable", I mean, NOT NE-FUCKING-GOTIABLE.- Fire Chris Getz
If they miss the playoffs entirely...don't think either GEtz or Venable will win anything.- Fire Chris Getz
If you praise someone for their accomplishments, you also need to critique them for their failures. The guy literally had one of the worst trade deadlines of all time. He would have been better off not even making a single trade and the team would be better right now. Not sure how this can just be ignored. Also not sure what 2005 has to do with this discussion either. I looked for your past tweet about how stupid some Sox fans were to question the Castillo trade but apparently you deleted that tweet. Ron even had a thread about it.- 9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT
To paraphrase Dennis Green: "The White Sox are what we thought they were! They’re what we thought they were! ... the White Sox are who we thought they were! Now if you want to crown them, then crown their ass! But they are who we thought they were ...!"- 9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT
It’s never over until it’s over. Don’t stop now boys. You can do it.- 9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT
Sounds like a fun Saturday…- 9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT
Spoken like a true Sox fan.- 9/19 Sox vs. Tigers 1:10PM CT
6 runs wasn't enough last night 16 would be ideal to use Castillo, he'd still turn it into a save situation - Fire Chris Getz
