Yeah the only bummer is they blew a very winnable game on Friday. But it is what it is. They're still in good shape thanks to Cleveland having a disastrous week.

just gave my 19yo cat a bath, he has bad arthritis and spondylosis so he can't bathe himself properly anymore, which is odd because he contorted himself around to scratch the s%*# out of me just fine

On top of that, Friday night's game was disappointing because Martin was looking solid going into the 6th up 5-0 and suddenly hit a wall, the bullpen which had been very good lately completely crashed out that game...Sox could easily have won 2/3 vs Houston, but that's baseball. Sox team and fans feeling much better after today.

I've noticed a lot of times after he swings hard and strikes out he's walking back to the dugout shaking his head and talking to himself. I wonder if mentally he's not in a good place right now and that may be carrying over to his fielding. He's been in a slump since coming back after the Braves series.

He is an excellent mop up pitcher/ low leverage situations.

Can't see the Sox or anyone doing any serious business in the three weeks or so before the lockout. Nobody will know what the terms of the next CBA will be and they won't want to get stuck. Nothing substancial will be done. Would be shocked if any free agents were signed by anybody.

Yesterday, this weekend looked like a nightmare....today they are up 2 1/2 games in the division.

Yes they got their big guns lined up in the series. Just happened to work out that way.
