I think Kyle may have been on to something when he opined that Davis Martin might be experiencing shoulder or arm problems. It looked like that to me as well after looking at Davis' fastballs that did not hit their mark...in some cases by a lot.

Eight hits total in two games. Not good. A few more weeks of Boston not losing, now 10 wins in 12 games, and they won't be trading anybody. Oh yea, the Twins are now right in the mix. Incredible. Maybe they'll wake up Thursday, but right now they aren't getting it done. And because Martin only went four innings they had to burn through four other pitchers. It always comes down to pitching.

He's had 9 games with 2 IP, for a cool 1.00 ERA and didn't allow an ER in 8 of them. But he's had several outings between 1 and 2 innings, for ERA of 4.63. He started 4 games in April and allowed 1 hit and 0 ER. To me, when he's on, he looks unhittable; but he's not always on. I hope they try him as a starter; but yall may be right.

Venable needs better lineup construction. Also needs to up his energy level and kick some butt when needed. He looks too low energy and stoic in the dugout. He does not look like a capable manager for a team in contention. IMO.
