There is no God
Hudson kind of feels like Bummer. A guy whose stuff looks good but he gets nickeled and dimed to death.

Bullpens are so fickle

An ominous future...
1981 is also included although you may not have been around. And yes the owners are willing to piss that away.

The Sox lost in embarrassing fashion on a night dedicated to the head of the Catholic Church. I think this is a postgame thread.

Had no choice, which shows you how bad of a move it was

I have a bottle of Lagavulin reserved for the day I read that obituary.

How do we feel about the Tim Anderson retirement game
Sad how his career turned out. I think this event is more of an apology for the dark years of TLR and Grifol.
-
An ominous future...
I'm not sure of the exact figures, but there's been a slew of articles about baseball ratings overtaking the NBA recently, or at least closing the gap. A stoppage would likely wash most of that away for years.

Is It Time To Call Up Bonemer?
We should just turn Burke into the next Ohtani and have him catch when he's not on the mound. Opens up a roster spot.

So what was the point of this thread?

An ominous future...
I don't think so. I also don't think there will be a work stoppage

I found it very Grifol-esque of Will to leave Hudson in against Elly last night when Elly has been killing LHP this year and clearly Hudson is cooked. Rough game for Will last night.

Romo
I guess they look at it as just needing to field a position. Adding outside catchers unless they are real veterans is risky handling pitchers.

An ominous future...
Why does it feel like every time in my life the Sox are ready to be awesome there is a lockout of some kind, i.e. 1994, 2020, 2027? Baseball has overtaken the NBA in popularity during this supposed crisis, are the owners really willing to piss that away? I sure hope not.

.801 OPS against lefties this year (SSS) but he's always hit lefties.

From Sox Machine: *Hudson has an 8.31 ERA in the second half, as he's now given up 12 hits over 8⅔ innings.

Bring up Roch. Make Ant catcher #2. DFA Romo.

My son moved into his dorm room at St. Norbert College yesterday. He is rooming with a RB on the team. Already practiced on the field this morning and then hit the athletic center for weight training. StreamableWatch St. Norbert Dorm | StreamableWatch "St. Norbert Dorm" on Streamable.

Wow! Mark Walter, who also owns the Dodgers, just bought the Lakers a year ago (for $10B). The team is being sold to Jared Kushner's brother and former Disney CEO Bob Iger. CNBCBob Iger, Joshua Kushner buy Los Angeles Lakers at a $12....Venture capital founder Joshua Kushner and former Disney CEO Bob Iger acquire Mark Walter's stake in Los Angeles Lakers at valuation of more than $12 billion.

Agreed. You have to stick with Quero now. He’s the lefty and appears to be getting out of his season-long slump. I wouldn’t mind adding Rogers as the right-handed side of the catching platoon and the veteran. I’m not sure if it was ever determined if Romo has options left but they need to send him down regardless. I would not be surprised if Rogers is with the Sox soon.

I'd like one veteran to pair with one of the younger guys at least.
