He was facing some borderline big league talent here as well with our Knights lining up against the Yankme AAA affiliate. Dominguez and Volpe both looked like fools. I’ve seen enough. Give him another go in the show!!! Him, Urquidy, and Fedde can all help carry innings while padding us from Demon Davis Martin version. I think that stable of 4 could really encourage competition amongst them all. Nice mix of players with the highest level experience possible, those who are recovering from injury, and some who have multiple recoveries already under their belt. If it works out, I will eat crow and back off Getz for failing to bring in another SP at the deadline! I’ve never wanted to be wrong so bad before 😆😆

No matter how you rearrange the arms it still amounts to not enough guys who can pitch 6 innings and still keep you in the game. We need peak Martin, Burke, Kay , Castillo , Fedde/Urquidy. Somewhere down the road others could start this year. Thorpe and Sandlin are the 2 likeliest with Shane Smith and Cannon long shots. Ultimately those other guys may not have the time to establish themselves as options to be added to a playoff roster. Getz may still play with the relievers but we've seen just about everyone tried.

The Sox were designed to get the young talent on the field, coach them up and see how it blends and keep churning the bottom of the roster and trying to find a few golden nuggets among the chaffe. Appears to be working, not a finished product. There are still holes in the organization and a lame duck owner who may yet sabotage what's been built already along with labor issues.

Honestly it sort of worked in 2011. Would try it again to give the arms some rest.

Sox have been treading water for about 2 months now. Which is fine because the division and most of the AL stink. Would like to see them kick it into gear and start playing their best ball of the season heading into the playoffs. Leave this division in the dust. I think they're capable of it.

Holmes seems very hit and miss 0 runs against NYY and MIA then gives up 6 against the DBacks
