  2. With a clear glass roof, the Chiefs' new stadium has many similarities to planned or proposed new stadiums for the Titans, Commanders, Broncos, Bears and Browns.
  3. Well, he's injured. I'd bet he would have been moved had he been healthy.
  4. You guys have said this about every single trade the guy has made. I'd guess every convo started with "Caleb Bonemer plus...". I appreciate that you're mad about Castillo sucking. Nobody's trying to "justify" this trade to you. But you don't seem to grasp what has been explained multiple times.
  5. Didn't the Astrodome run into problems with glass roof panels making it hard for outfields to track fly balls when that place first opened? I believe they had to paint over that glass. Wouldn't they have the same problem in Tampa?
  6. Anything is possible, but I think there's too much involved here for the residents to be able to totally kill this project. It's not simply moving the Amtrak facility to make way for a new stadium. Amtrak has already said they need to move their facility to have more room to modernize their operations and there's the matter of this potentially killing the Northwestern medical research campus proposal if Amtrak's move is stopped. Part of the federal money is going to much-needed repairs on viaducts in the area, too. If anything, neighborhood and Ald. Lee's opposition could slow things down significantly. If Amtrak and Canal Edge want to head off that possibility, they'd be wise put some effort into coming up with ways to mitigate noise, light, air pollution impacts on the nearby residential areas. Those type of things should be feasible and not uncommon when addressing local concerns.
  7. I went to the last home game with two other couples, inc a former Chicago Policeman, his wife and a few friends in one guys' Wagoneer. They heartily laughed when I asked if any of them or their kids would ever consider taking a train to anywhere downtown, especially at night. Hey, I won't be around to see what thet fellow wants to build but as I told my friends, I hate to see some guy from Detroit do what he proposes doing. It's pretty sad, but oh well.
  8. Make that #38 as well for MVPCA. 5 homers in his past 2 games.
  9. Only if you same his name like homeboy says JAMES.SHIELDS.
  10. Today

  11. LOL, bravo
  12. Odyssey only worth it in IMAX surround sound or especially with 70 mm film projection capability…

Maybe we can get Ketel Marte at a bargain price instead (But where would he play???)
  14. See the long line of relatives…(Profar also had PEDs concerns around him due to trainers) Acuna brother Tatis brother Guerrero Jr. cousin Juan Uribe’s son KW Jr. Hoping for a lot more out of Landon Thome lol And that’s why Marco Paddy is now with Salesforce, which I guess is still better than WeWork
  15. Oh… and as a runner up I’m going with none other than KYLE TEEL!
  16. Bergolla is undersized and has about 50 pa’s for those inflated numbers. While still quite young, 675 ops in AA is probably more indicative of FV than any SSS at Charlotte. Mune until recently Vargas second best move of his tenure Sort of fixing Colson Venable, coaching staff, Carlos Rodriguez Peters 100% best move of mlb off-season Newcomb and Hudson Development of Gonzalez Bonemer Boston Smith … even targeting of Mead, they just couldn’t give him enough runway with Vargas and Benintendi blocking playing time path
  17. And he would have been a perfect prospect to move in a package for a rental starter. Looks good in the minors but will get shut down in the majors. 1 homer in 1264 minor league plate appearances.
  18. Has to be a pitcher. One of the Martin, Castillo, Sandlin, Thorpe, Urquidy mix. We have three goals in September: Get the rotation patched up and ready to fire on all cylinders. Get the cold bats going again. SWEEP THE FUCKING CENTRAL!!! We roll into October ready to finally play our best baseball of the year and SHOCK THE FUCKING WORLD!!! That all said, I’m going with Martin.

    True… meh… f*** it… would be fun anyhow.
  20. “Great, more of this "global warming" Chinese hoax bullshit. Sullivan is trying to push the hoax even more. I just watched a Joe Rogan…” Ron883 “Most popular post” Tibetans and Nepalese might disagree this week on exactly why their glacier calved off and triggered a massive flood/mudslide.
  21. It’s ok to acknowledge that Getz had a great offseason and put this team in a position to compete faster than anyone expected, while also acknowledging that some of his deadline moves were questionable or even bad. Mason Adams may not have a high ceiling, but he was a consensus org top 20 prospect. I don’t get this need to belittle him to defend Getz. Doyle has been terrible for two seasons and is the definition of a project. It’s very fair to question why we felt now was the right time to acquire and try to fix him. The same applies for Castillo. Value wise it looked an L on day one because the Mariners were desperate to move his salary. It’s still too early to fully judge the trade, but right now it looks very bad for us. Hopefully that change, but again, as Getz himself stated it’s hard to fix guys mid season. Giving up Boston Smtih for that luxury remains baffling to me. I’m a Getz supporter in general, but candidly I didn’t love our deadline.
