Depending on high how you'd have Roch and Caleb in a top 50 list probably like 18-25. If you have both guys solidly in top 25, probably around 18, if not, closer to 25. As @royoung posted, just absolutely zero depth coming from LA. For now it will have to come from this latest draft, which seems promising on paper. The good news is obviously that the MLB talent base is greatly improved, and the system isn't as important as it was this time last year. We've got MLB regulars or better at most spots now, so in theory less pressure on the farm over the coming few seasons.

I got the marketing email for Tim Anderson retirement day and was kinda like...almost anti-. Kinda curious how you all feel. Prior to the year maybe a game which reminded us of a team were we used to know some of the players names was exciting. There was a time where Tim Anderson was remarkable to me. I'd often point out that the sox player development strategy in 2010-2022 was like mr. glass in unbreakable where you just keep blowing up trains and seeing who can survive. Tim was drafted in a pretty terrible draft as a longshot, had a bad hitting profile but extraordinary hands. Was often times horrible at short and then sometimes brilliant. The kind of player who never puts it together for us and then he probably hit his 99th percentile outcome. And then it came screeching to a halt. But he was also the poster child of a truly miserable era for me. 2022 I went to many games amazed at how the park was trying to will that team out of its lethargy and they just couldn't do it. They were all rich, lazy and injured. When TA did TA stuff and tried to start a fight with Jose Ramirez and got knocked out cold in one punch and never could get up...I mean was there ever a better metaphor for that white sox group? This team seems to be the opposite. They were not crowned early, they were not paid early. Many looked down and dusted, and they've kept coming back. TA was the one guy in all of that group that rose to heights not dreamed of. Him and Abreu definitely deserve celebration from that era...but I just don't really want to remember that era at all right now.

I think Boughton and Brown will be much higher this time next year.

All the external ratings so far have the Sox ranked anywhere from 7th to 10th, right there with the Tigers after the Skubal/Mize trades and the Guardians and Twins, too. Mariners Dodgers Brewers usually the top three...Pratt/Laura losing their eligibility soon but MIL still has an impressive system overall.

Great work as usual from the FS team. It is brutal how little contribution the international market is giving their system. Four prospects on this list and they are all in the bottom half (#15, #19, #29 and #30). It would hard to find another system with that poor of return on investment. The silver lining is Bonemer was a draft steal and they have several prospects that are going to help the big league club this season. The Sox desperately need this 2026 draft class to be special for depth purposes.

According to my weather guy, Max Velocity, it looks like Mother Nature may be barking at us a little bit as the week moves forward. Hopefully she'll relent sufficiently so that the games will be played as scheduled!

Positional ambiguity aside. Trading a guy who is hitting like Smith is, doesn't make me feel good. If he manages to be an OK catcher, he can be a monster with that bat. Even as a LF who mashes, that's valuable. The upside is not hard to project.

Tigers lead the AL in run differential. Tigers are 8th in MLB in pitching and ahead of Sox in hitting and fielding. Tigers are 8th in payroll. On paper, tigers take the AL Central. Play on grass, not paper, but tigers have to be team to beat. We face jobe,melton and valdez next week on end in Detroit. Not easy.

Quero had a good game yesterday and showed a lot of plate discipline......being selective usually leads to hitting that ball hard. I would still bring up Haase and send Romo down.
