Realistic trade candidates AKA The Lynnsanity Thread
SoCalChiSox replied to Orlando's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I wouldnt give up Dunning no matter what. He can very easily be our 3 and at least a 4. He has a higher floor than most of our pitchers and has good command. Law mentioned in a recent column that he continues to believe he should be a league average SP which is pretty valuable. Regarding Collins, I still like him (I am of course highly biased as a Univ of Miami fan) and he has a role next year as the backup. I think he'd be hitting more with more playing time. And his value would also go up once electronic strike zones eventually come into play. I would hold on to him for now. If EE doesn't turn it around, I'd like to see what he can do as an everyday DH vs RHP. -

How about Dalquist and a soft landing special assistant to the GM job for Eppler for Marsh? -

Any thought to getting Cease out after the scary 5th inning? We felt he could get out of it. What was that based on Ricky? (points to gut and discusses how long he's been in the game) -

We need to punish those mistakes by Darvish better. Blow this one wide open. -

I thought the new swing was something they worked on from the spring to get him to unleash more of his power. Its obvious he isn't comfortable with it or it just isn't working. Maybe he can just go back to what he was doing with Texas and if he's 110 wRC+ vs righties but trash vs lefties, that's better than what he's doing now. -

Yep, anything today is just gravy at this point. Just no injuries is all I ask. The Sox are living rent free in the Cubs heads at this point, so I won't be totally shocked if we give them another shellacking but just to get 2 wins in Wrigley is great by itself. -

Great win. I never expected to win with that Hendricks-ReyLo match up. The lineup is absolutely fierce right now. Even Ron will have to send Jose a fruitbasket after this 3 HR game. -

Lulz @ DH and corner OFer with wRC+'s in the 60s. -
Yeah we are not trading 6.5 years of Vaughn for two years of Clevinger.

How much longer do you wait on EE and Mazara?
SoCalChiSox replied to Jack Parkman's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Realistically though, if RH got JR to shell out that 13 year 325m deal or whatever it was, there wouldn't be money in the "budget" for all the extensions to the young talent. -

Joc could be had for cheap right now and his xWOBA is .350. I realize Hahn has said he isn't looking for rentals but if the compensation is low, it doesnt really cost us much and we could see how he fits in with our guys before deciding whether to offer him an extension later. -

16-11 is terrific considering like half of the rest of our games are against the absolute dregs of the league. Chicago can absolutely win the division. -

If hes available he should at least be at DH instead of EE....and yes I know EE is good against LHP but he hasn't proved a whole lot this year. -

If he can get thru the 6th with no damage that would be great and id take him out after that. Hes already right at 90. Don't make the same mistake as last night Ricky
