I got news for you. Their pitcher isn’t getting a lot of time to rest either. Martin is plowing thru ‘em.

Well, this game is moving right along.

I feel like Martin, for today at least, is just like Sale or Quintana back when they pitched for those bad White Sox teams: he has to realize if he gives up 3 runs or more, it’s gonna be a loss due to lack of offense from the Sox. With Meidroth in a mini-slump, I feel that after Colson that the only other two bats in the order are Peters and Acuna. And I mean that. I feel, again right now, that Acuna is more of a threat with his bat than who the Sox have batting 4 thru 7. That is how bad we are slumping.

Here’s my complaint for the day: I’m fine with the Sox announcing team, whoever it is: Schriffen, Stone, Plesac, Gordon, whoever. I think complaining about who’s calling the game is silly. They’re all the same to me. But . . . I hate it when the offense is terrible and in a prolonged slump, like now; and the announcers try to gaslight us and try to make us viewers believe that each and every pitcher throwing for the opposing team is pitching like Cy Young today. It’s total and obvious gaslighting. It’s not that the Sox bats have been and continue to be terrible. They want us to believe that every pitcher for the other team really has their best stuff today and there’s nothing the White Sox hitters can do. It’s such an obvious lie, total gaslighting. It happened during the game today and they kept it up in the post game show.

Oh, and Gonzalez is 0 for his last 20. This is barely a minor league lineup unless Vargas heats up.

Our offense is terrible right now. It was terrible last night. That was not good Skubal last night, and the Sox could do nothing against Tigers garbage bullpen. Vargas and Meidroth ( I know he’s not playing now) are in slumps. Whoever we have catching and B. Montgomery are not major league hitters. Our offense is bad now. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t see how we’re going to get 2 or 3 more runs. Maybe Antonacci get on and a Colson homer.

No. Doesn’t he have the best fwar of any 2nd basemen in the AL? I thought I saw that, either on a telecast or on this board?

So, is Newcomb coming out or do you let him get a couple/ few more outs in the 4th?

Probably more than the entire rest of the team, if Benintendi has bad contact and knows he’s an out, you’re gonna hear a loud F-word from the onfield microphone. He does it all the time, really loud and really clear.

I’m pretty sure when the Sox were heading into that gauntlet, the consensus on this board was that if the Sox finish it losing only a couple games to .500, we’d gladly take that. Some felt if Sox got out of it even one game over .500, that would be fine. And what do our White Sox do? They go 6 and 5. It is great to be a White Sox fan right now.

Braden has looked overmatched vs. major league pitching for the last week. I’m afraid the Sox are back to not having a right fielder.

Absolutely no surprise that the ruling was in the Yankees favor.

Is it bad offense or a huge strike zone for the Yankee pitcher? The strike zones does not look the same for both teams. It is obvious or else that strike zone square from center field is off.

I don’t understand why Venable is not filling these umps ears. They seems to be doing everything they can to help the Yankees.

I agree: this is the 2nd game in a row where the Sox and Yankees have two different strike zones.

Braden’s offense has fallen off a cliff.

I think Rodon has been more lucky than good the 1st two inning. I think the Sox are gonna get to him. If Kay can get through five innings only giving up 4 runs, I think the Sox will be in it. But I think Kay is gonna give up 7 or 8.
