Anybody else think Sox should not be starting Martin tomorrow. I know the obvious question is who else, but it is a huge game and Sox don’t want the score to be 5 - 0 Cleveland after half an inning. That’s what’s happened his last 2 starts.

Everyone complaining about Colson’s bat, but it seems Vargas has been just as bad, if not worse.

Colson strikes out more on ball four than the rest of the White Sox team combined.

Did anybody think there was a chance Braden would get a hit? I didn’t. Neither did he.

The entire White Sox team has turned into Luis Robert!!! Chasing terrible balls out of the strike zone. Gray’s last four 3rd- strikes were all, AT LEAST, nine inches out of the strike zone. What are we doing?

Yes and no. Not a fluke because Martin started. Burke and Castillo the next two days. White Sox will win 2 out of 3 in this series.

If the Sox are serious about winning the division, they have to replace Martin in the starting rotation. He is absolutely terrible, and it is not just his last two starts; he’s been terrible for over five weeks. I still think Plesac with his continual “51 games left” speeches as Martin continued to suck up was saying the same thing.

Plesac, at least 3 times while Martin has been pitching, has gone on the topic of only 51 games left. Can’t be worried about getting better, gotta win. Is he kinda hinting, not hinting that Martin needs to be taken out of the starting rotation? If he is, I’m there with him. I’d really like to see Fedde for Martin next time Martin is due to start.

When did Vargas become Miggy? I’m not digging that at all. The real Miggy retired. Let’s retire it with him.

Well . . . On the postgame show, Ozzie just said (really paraphrasing here) that going into Tampa and doing this and signing Castillo, the World Series can happen. This team’s ability to win games in different ways, this is starting to feel like the ‘05 team. If they can get a good hot streak going in August or September, it’s time to get really excited. Again paraphrasing, tough to follow, but that’s what he said.

I gotta admit I was one of those guys. I hope I am completely wrong, but I’m still somewhat wait and see. He has only done it against TB so far. But it would be nice to see him get hot, really nice.

I think/ hope the Sox can do with Castillo the magic them seem to be able to conjure up with veteran pitchers: Fedde, twice (Why Fedde is only good for the White Sox is an interesting question). Adrian Houser who was ungood for Tampa Bay Remember Johnny Cueto? They turned him around for that one year. If the Sox can do that with those guys, you gotta believe they can really do something with Castillo. Also, I don’t think it’s crazy comparing trading away Smith with trading away Tatis Jr. for fear of regretting what he might become.

Sox figured out how to fix Seranthony: replace him with Jordan Hicks.

We need to score some runs. If Kay goes out and gives up three in 5 & 1/3 innings, that should be fine with our bullpen vs. their bullpen. But again, we need to score some runs, some solid offense.

How many people would feel a lot better, not only about tonight’s game but even more about the season going forward, if Mune would hit a damn home run in this game.

I completely agree with: Quero is the obvious choice. Plus, he has so much talent. Hopefully, he can fix himself with a 2nd chance.

Let me do what I can to help Schultz again tonight. I’ll make the same doofus pregame comments I made his last start, so he can again prove me wrong. I’ll go a little bigger this time: Why the hell are we pitching Schultz tonight?? It should be Sandlin. Sandlin is clearly better with a higher floor and ceiling. C’mon Venable, go with Sandlin.

Are all those starts going to be with the Dash? I would like to see a couple there, then up to AA for one start. If all is going well, get him starting as soon as possible in Charlotte. Let’s try to (again if all is going well) fast track him up to AAA. Also, knowing nothing about his defense, I like to see Boston Smith being used at catcher with Charlotte as soon as possible also.

You mean those two when his injury started to tell, but he went out and tried anyway?

I’ve posted this general idea a few time before when the other team appears to have a starting pitcher advantage. Yes, but the White Sox offense is also clearly better. So, I think the Sox are as likely to score off DeGrom, as Texas is to score off Fedde. As far as I’m concerned, tonight is a coin-flip game, 50/ 50 either tesm wins.

It’s tough to refute the way you phrased your point, but I think there are several times this year where having an ABS challenge available has altered a gsme. I can’t think of a specific example/ game, but it seems to me that, at least, at least, twice this year (one relatively recently) the Sox have won an ABS challenge for the 3rd strike and 3rd out in the 9th inning for a Sox win. I think having them in the 8th and 9th inning are really important.
