5/10/26 - Mariners @ Sox rubber game - 1:10 pm CDT
Two questions: I’m sure this has been discussed on here before, but I’ve never seen it dealt with. But who/ why are the blond women in the White Sox dugout. They’re always there and never mentioned on the broadcast or on here? And I question this one all the time. How is Kelenic’s name pronounced as only two syllables? What is the nationality/ origin of his surname. Shouldn’t it be pronounced “Ka-Len-ic” or “Kal-a-nic”? Thanks for any help, I wonder that every time I hear his name.

5/10/26 - Mariners @ Sox rubber game - 1:10 pm CDT
We’re kinda in a Bizzaro World with the Sox starting pitching right now. Schultz and Burke, who were looking just great, both had terrible games; and Kay, who has been rather sucky, comes out and throws a great game. Let’s hope Davis Martin can escape the Bazarro-Verse and throw another absolute gem and give the Sox the series win.

5/9/26 - Mariners @ Sox - 6:40 pm CDT
How could there have possibly been “definitive proof” that was a fair ball? That was impossible to see definitive proof on that. I am really, really tired of the Sox being screwed on reviews in NYC. I said this last week, it is time for Getz to fly out to NYC and insist to see the proof on that call.

GAME THREAD: 5/8/26 6:40pm | Sox vs Mariners |Burke vs Hancock
Remember when the White Sox had won 5 of their last 6; were one game under .500, and 1 1/2 games out of 1st place. When was that? It seems like a month ago.

Panicans Strike Back...first Mune trade rumors
Why is that any different than moving the face of your franchise who is an outstanding defensive shortstop for a younger one who is possibly questionable? Roch isn’t the 1-1 for his defense. It’s his bat and his work ethic/ clubhouse demeanor.

Panicans Strike Back...first Mune trade rumors
I remember hearing on a few preseason podcasts that Colson graded out as one of the top defensive SS in MLB last season. I remember one saying top-5. I don’t know about Roch’s D at SS, but it would be a good trick if he were better than Colson. And everyone on here says Colson will move to 3rd, not Roch? Why should Colson be the one moving? I’m sure Colson and his agent are wondering the same thing.

Panicans Strike Back...first Mune trade rumors
Pretty much every projection model still forecasts the Sox in the 71-73 win total range for 2026. Which requires you to believe the Tigers will struggle to stay at .500 and that Cleveland will be no more than 3-5 games over .500 for the remainder of the season. It's the end of your 1st sentence that I completely disagree with: The White Sox are realistically competing for the division and the WC right now in 2027, without bringing up any of those guys. I can completely accept a model that has the Sox winning 71 to 73, but I think winning 83 is possible (if they stay healthy, Teel . . , blah blah), and winning 83 will get them the division. Later on, you posted that without Skubal for 2/3 month, the Tigers are still strongly favored to win the division. I think it was 43% probability to win the division? I think that is completely ludicrous. I would be shocked if the Sox don't finish ahead of the Tigers and the Twins. Now on trading Mune. I would guess he will be traded after this year, but now back to your comment about bringing all those guys up in 27. I think with what the Sox starting rotation is going to be next year with Smith, Schultz, Burke, Martin, Hagen and/ or whoever, the Sox will be THE TEAM to beat in the AL Central next year. It will be Vargas at 1st, Miedroth, Colson at SS, and Roch at 3rd by June at the latest. Then an outfield of Braden, Baldwin, Pereira and/ or whoever; and then with Teel catching. With that pitching and lineup, the Sox won't need or miss Mune next year. But any statement that the White Sox are not realistically competing now and next year for both the division (especially next year) is completely wrong.

White Sox signing Randal Grichuk to major league deal
Look at your last sentence, by that logic he never should be playing. Just like he’s not playing now for the Mets . . . . another injury keeping him from being effective. He learned from Moncada that a back injury is an excuse that lasts all year.

White Sox signing Randal Grichuk to major league deal
So you mean a batter’s follow-through where he releases the bat with his trailing hand and is holding it one handed was interpreted as swinging one handed and an underachieving athlete blamed his poor performance on an “undiagnosed” injury. And then Getz haters jumped on it and the lemmings now repeat it as fact. I got it.

White Sox signing Randal Grichuk to major league deal
Another falsehood repeated on here so often by the lemmings that it has become accepted fact.

White Sox signing Randal Grichuk to major league deal
Holy s%*#! Has the White Sox Buzzkill Army come out in this thread, or what? How can this not be seen as a necessary and good move. Baldwin got hurt; Hays is hurt; Kelenic ain’t doin’ it; Acuna is an automatic out. They need someone, a BODY. Bitching about dumpster diving is pointless. Getz is doing what he has to do to help the pay .500 ball in May . . . like they did in April. . . remember April. Another thing: can we stop with the calls to DFA Benintendi. The people on here wanting him DFAed are lemmings repeated what others say on here, just echoing off each other regardless of how silly it is. I understand you think he’s way overpaid; I get that, but don’t you guys get that the Sox would still have to pay him even after he is released? And it’s stupid to say/ imply that this Sox team would be better without Benintendi. After Mune and Colson, Beni and Vargas are their best bats. The team has really been playing well the last month and Benintendi is a major part of that success. Why would the Sox DFA a player (whom they’d have to pay anyway) who is helping them have their best results in four years, especially when most the bats in the outfield right now (see my 1st statement) are so weak. It makes no sense. That’s what’s so weird and off putting about the tone of this thread: looking at the 70% of the posts on this thread you’d think the White Sox were on their way to another 100 loss season, not about to move in contention for the Division lead. And Caulfield with his Tigers at 61.5% playoff odds . . . . by the two or three months, at least, that it takes for Skubal to return, they’re gonna be looking up at these White Sox.

5/3 Sox @ Padres - 3:10PM CT
Which song are you defending? Okay, I have to admit. That makes sense. The metaphor escaped me.
-
5/3 Sox @ Padres - 3:10PM CT
White Sox had Canning on the ropes twice and let him off with boneheaded moves on the bases. I have to go after you on this song choice. With the exception of Beatles “Yellow Submarine”, this might be the worst song ever by a great group.

Most would know that SD starting pitcher was more lucky.

5/3 Sox @ Padres - 3:10PM CT
Can Acuna be sent to the minors to work on his swing/ bat? He hit .234 last year. Looking at his at bats/ swings, .234 doesn’t seem possible.

5/3 Sox @ Padres - 3:10PM CT
Been so good and smart this series, but between Kelenic and Peters swinging at those last two pitches, really acting like the ‘24 White Sox. And of course, we immediately pay for wasting that chance.

Our new power bat.

5/3 Sox @ Padres - 3:10PM CT
Nice to see SD return the overly aggressive favor.
-
5/3 Sox @ Padres - 3:10PM CT
Not in love with the “we’re gonna be aggressive on the bases Sox”. Mune and Colson throw out stealing. Antonicci there. We’re being stupid here, not aggressive.

5/3 Sox @ Padres - 3:10PM CT
Someone said this before the 1st game of this series: they said the Sox lineup looks better than the SD lineup. I thought that also, as I looked up and down the two lineups, and really, I think the Sox lineup being superior has somewhat been proven true. So, though I’m not in love with Kay, I’m gonna say the same thing I said when it was Davis Martin vs. Soriano of the Angels when everyone was worried about Soriano’s unhittable stats. I think the better White Sox lineup will be more successful against Canning than SD’s lineup will be against Kay. The big concern is can that lead be big enough by bullpen time, so that SD’s great bullpen won’t be a factor. SD’s bullpen hasn’t mattered in the last two games. Let’s keep it that way and get out our brooms.

5/1 Sox @ Padres - 8:40PM CT
I’m not kidding. If I was Getz I’d be on a plane to NYC. I would them to show me what they are seeing, because this is bullshit.
-
5/1 Sox @ Padres - 8:40PM CT
Getz better be talking to the league about these NYC reviews. That’s 3 reviews in a row, everyone very, very questionable (Mune at home, Mune steal, and Vargas there was safe) that all went against the Sox.

5/1 Sox @ Padres - 8:40PM CT
Was anyone else afraid he would get thrown out. We want Sam in this lineup.

5/1 Sox @ Padres - 8:40PM CT
White Sox are hot; let’s play a game. Had a day game Wednesday; off yesterday; now they don’t play until 9:40 (my time) Eastern. It seems like we’ve sat through the all-star break since last they played.

4/29 Sox vs. Angels - 12:10 PM
Now that’s funny. Wow, is that a reach back.
