He might be worth more than Clement, but in this goofy inflated market he's probably not going to be worth what he'll get.
-
I'm glad the Sox didn't finish first in the Matt Clement Lottery. The Red Sox may well regret winning that lottery as much as that old Southern guy regrets winning that 314 million dollar Lotto.

That's pretty funny - "here, kid, put on this mustache!" I'll look for him next time I watch it - I watched it right away when I got it, I love that movie! I do stupid little quotes from both ML movies all the time - when I see a buddy I haven't seen for a while, I always say, " ______, my great and good friend.....how joo doooeen'?" .....okay, so you have to be there..... EDITED TO ADD a set of gifts I forgot earlier: Nike outfit - shirt, pants and tennis shoes ( pretty sharp looking and REALLY comfortable )

If you look at the crime statistics, I think you'd find that Wrigleyville/Lakeview is not the nice, safe neighborhood the Cub propagandists would have you believe. USCF is a beautiful ballpark with all the amenities you could ask for, and as was mentioned earlier, THE BEST ballpark food around. The Cubs own the casual fan or bandwagon fan, but Sox fans are passionate, baseball-smart and friendly ( there's a percentage who are not, of course, but the overwhelming majority are ).

It's pretty common, truth be told. I had a TV sound radio a few years ago. I doubt I'll even use the TV sound feature - TV minus picture = kinda boring.
-
The more, the merrier! Whattya know, the Sox have a bandwagon!!!! Welcome aboard, and glad to see that you appreciate the GREATEST city in the US!!!!
-
Millwood's name is better than his game right now. 7 mil is overpaying for him. 1 year's a decent gamble for Cleveland to see if he can rebound, I guess.
-
Exactly. TV minus picture = TV sound. She was going to get me a Walkman with AM, FM, Weather band and a small TV screen, but I didn't want a TV on it. My wife = awesome!

That's why I get the spinach and mushroom with the butter crust! It's not over-rated to me - I rate it "delicious" and my taste buds agree!!! 4 out of 5 taste buds agree - Malnati's KICKS ASS!!!!

That's funny, but it does raise a question for me: How widespread is the interest in Kwanzaa among the African-American community? I work with a lot of AA folks, and I'm never sure whether or not to wish them a Happy Kwanzaa, so I usually puss out and give 'em the bland, inoffensive ( don't want to say "vanilla" ) Happy Holidays crap. I don't think it's caught on all that much yet, it's only been around since like 1966 or something.

Yeah, Mr. Show is very similar to you, except they're consistently funny and entertaining!!! ZING!!!!!! ( and it actually lasted 4 or 5 seasons on HBO, they have 4 seasons on DVD already - it's really funny stuff, rent it if you can find it. Mean-spirited sketch comedy, starring David Cross and Bob Odenkirk. ) I didn't want any other media types on my Walkman ( I have a cassette one and a CD one already ) so my wife found one that has AM/FM, TV sound and a weather band. Digital tuning, 5 presets....pretty sweet, actually. Nice and small, too, so I can tuck it in a shirt or coat pocket comfortably.

I thought Will Ferrell was golden on SNL, but he's just not translating to movies for me. Maybe he's not accepting the right roles or whatever, but his movies have left me flat.
-
Partial list, cuz I know I'm gonna forget something: DVDs: Rocky Major League 2 Mr. Show ( seasons 1 and 2 ) Denis Leary ( No Cure For Cancer and Lock & Load on one DVD ) Bill Hicks ( includes his HBO special, which is CLASSIC in my opinion! ) Other stuff: AM/FM/TV audio Walkman ( I rock the old-school, you kids with your iPod.... ) talking picture frame with my daughter's voice recorded on it mouse pad with built-in calculator spindle of 50 blank CD-R's 40 bucks in Best Buy gift cards All in all, a pretty good haul.
-
I know Falco's, but I'm not really a fan. My big 3 are Lou Malnati's, Barraco's and Just-A-Pizza ( a little further west on Archer ). Now I want some pizza....
-
No sweat, Duke, you'll find a lot of people here don't know much about the White Sox..... btw, green is the color of sarcasm/joking around.

Hey, a Green Seats thread.....I think I'll post someth-...... :sleep

Hey, when a line is good, it kinda becomes community property.... ...but thank you.... -

I care A LOT. I can watch the Wolves all the time ( watching them right now, in fact ), but that doesn't make up for all the midweek NHL games ESPN would have broadcast. Also, the Stanley Cup playoffs are THE BEST postseason tournament, BAR NONE, BY FAR. Nothing even remotely touches it, IMHO. Now all that's on TV is f***ing football and basketball - my interest in those sports can be measured in micro-mini-give-a-s***s. HURRY UP, SPRING TRAINING!!!!!!! -

Ahhhhhh, PISS ON THAT GUY!!!! ....wait a minute.....never mind, he takes care of that himself..... -
I'm sure the Angels would like him back at a reduced salary, but I think there are more than a couple teams who would pay him more than Anaheim, and at least one comes to mind right off the bat ( St. Louis ) who would probably want him to start.

Writer's block already, there, 2K?

^Yep. That.^ When I take my daughter to McD, it's a treat for her. She eats home-cooked meals 90% of the time, so she's getting her nutrition. I take her there after her ice-skating lesson, so she's had her exercise. She's a ball of fire from the moment she wakes up until the moment I have to convince her to sleep, she's not vegetating by the television. She's listed by her doctor as slightly underweight but perfectly healthy, so that Happy Meal is obviously not bloating her. Speak not when you know not, Mr. Zero Knowledge On This Subject. People throw this "unfit parent" s*** around whenever it suits their opinion - I wonder what stuff YOU do that others would find your parents "unfit" for allowing? I don't know, so I'm not going to shoot my mouth off - that's where we differ.
