"OH LORD................GIVE ME A SIGN....................." ZAP!!!!!!!!!!! "OW, LORD..............Couldn't you have parted a cup of water or something???"

If I HAD to have one or the other, I'd choose tea. Love the smell of coffee, but hate the taste. I usually only drink tea when I'm sick, except for iced tea, which I love. Nestea all the way..........Nestea OWNS Lipton!!! ( has there ever been a less important use of the "OWNS" phrase than that, by the way? )

See, this is EXACTLY what the conservative extremists are afraid of!! First they make straight men dress like them, next thing you know.... BALLS ACROSS THE NOSE!!!!! ( credit A. Clay Silverstein )

don't have it yet, but I've only read good reviews. NOFX is a pretty safe bet, they're usually really good.

I think your IQ = body weight divided by blood alcohol content ...at least that's what MY IQ is most of the time...

What would have been was Kurt was about to start writing crappy acoustic songs a la Neil Young. He had started saying how sick he was of the "formulaic rock song" and how he wanted to try new things sonically. Translation: sucky country-flavored crap While I'm not GLAD he "killed himself" ( right, Courtney??? ), it would have been a shame to watch him become a yodeling banjo-picking crooner. and Dave Grohl OWNS, by the way.

The Lovable Losers are getting slapped around again - 11 to 5 Cardinals in the 9th - and lots of red shirts in the crowd. The Cardinals are a good example of a team that does it right - they go out and get the players they need, and they somehow convince them to stay and live in the 7th Ring Of Hell, otherwise known as St. Louis!!!

Yeah, Kariya doesn't hit the bong enough to join the Slackoffs!! Billy Buck is the worst owner in Chicago, and that is NOT easy to do!!! It takes a special breed of asshole to out-asshole Reinsdorf, McCaskey, and the Tribune!!! That drunken Andy Griffith lookalike has managed to combine arrogance, cheapness, greed and total blatant disregard for the future of his own franchise to create a SUPERf***HEAD OWNER!! The Slackoffs are dying, but at least they'll be buried in a nice-looking suit!!!

William Perry only ate FOUR hot dogs??? Must've had too much "batting practice" before the event!

Not to bolster Maury's argument ( ), but it's more possible for a bad manager to f*** up a good thing than it is for a good manager to make chicken salad out of chicken s***. Baker is finding the second fact out with this year's Lovable Loser squad. They found a horseshoe in Joe Borowski's ass, but then it fell out. They look more like the 67-win team of last year than the Miracle Bunch they looked like in April and May. That said, it is ALWAYS my belief that the manager can only do so much, and the PLAYERS are always responsible for the success or failure of a balclub. My main gripe with JM is his lackluster personality, and the thought that it might trickle down to the team.

Today's SOX related news (unfavor Cubs too)
The Critic replied to JUGGERNAUT's topic in Pale Hose Talk
....that the wind shifted??? That loser f***wipe pisshole is the ultimate frontrunner. He doesn't mean ONE WORD that he writes. He's one of those ultra-negative f***s that actually HOPES that someone fails, if he wrote that they will. Moronotti, Hysteriotti, Kotex Boy.............a f***up is a f***up by any name. -
I'd actually be all for that!! You have to sell your soul a hundred times to ascend to any level of power under the current system. You'll never hear me say that the system isn't broken, but I still enjoy a lot of luxuries and freedoms that I wouldn't have in other lands, and I hate soccer, so I better stay RIGHT HERE!!

But while we're at it. let's raise a glass to the fact that you won't get scooped up and made to vanish for voicing these opinions and detailing these facts. Every country in the world has problems and hypocricies, but I haven't ( and don't want to ) live anywhere else.

I dunno, HSC, I'm still having trouble believing that I saw Paulie hit a pinch-hit, 2-out, extra-inning, game-tying HOME RUN against the Twinks! I had to rub my eyes a couple times to make sure that actually happened!!

Vintage 1988 Metallica, I couldn't agree more. Metallica since 1991..........not worth 10 bucks per ticket, IMO. It's just not the same band, not the same style of music. Anyone who likes them now, more power to you. I don't like where they've decided to go, so I jumped off a long time ago.

I disagree - I think the early drop is just fine because of how funny their fans thought the early Sox struggles were. I have mostly Cub fans for co-workers and while I don't have the level of hate for the Lovable Losers that most folks here do, I was getting a little perturbed by the smirking Dusty Cult Followers. Those people have quieted down and put their smirks in their back pockets, which is nice to see. I have mixed emotions about the team itself - there are a lot of players I like on that team, such as Prior, Wood, Alou and Patterson. But watching the Sammy Sosa Diminishing Skills Season has been VERY satisfying, to say the least!!! If and when the Sox draw 30 to 35,000 on a regular basis, the second-to-last joke will be taken out of the Cubbie jokebook. The Ligues will always be available, unfortunately...at least until some drunken fratboy f***tard does something equally stupid at Chewing Gum Field.

Or, you could do it like concert attendance reports, where the line reads like this: ( purely an example ) Metallica - Hawthorne Race Course, Cicero, IL - 6,358 for a gate of $476,850. ( based on the ridiculous $75 ticket price ) I personally don't have any problem with simple attendance figures being given, although I would like it to be split between tickets sold and tickets actually used.

I don't think there's any doubt that it's Loaiza. This season would already be gone without his contributions. With Bartolo throwing .500 ball and Buerhle starting out 2-10, what Loaiza has done cannot be overestimated.

I'd Like Another Beer Hey Sit Down Guido Maury Likes Little Boys Sosa Corks His Bats

Avalanche gets Kariya and Selanne Slackoffs get some fourth line center from Calgary. Avalanche > Slackoffs

Went today with the wife and kid. Quick review: everything is f***ing expensive it's hard to glance at the "talent" with your wife 2 feet away there were WAAAAAAAAAY too many people there - I hate crowds the wild boar meatloaf was pretty good the jerk pork was HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read this post and got confused. I don't know what that means...except that I read it and got confused.... White has thrown well, but he's still in my "undecided" file until he strings a few more good outings together. I still have too many fresh memories of Rick White Flag signalling the end of the Sox hopes for winning a game.

I like Everett just fine in CF and Frank at 1B, where he's looked a lot better than he has in a long time. Daubach and PK can split time at DH, after Paul proves he has gotten his swing back.

Since Valentin seems to be safe, what else could KW address? Catcher? Another starter? Everything else seems relatively set, those are my two guesses.
-
Forget that..........let the Twinkie fans mope and gripe by temselves. Have you seen the Cubbie boards lately? Looks like a suicide hotline over there!!!
