  1. Bmr, if I preach and b**** about the rainforest, would that make me a tree?? ...sorry, that weak-ass joke was burning a hole in me....had to get it out...
  2. I'm waiting for the blockbuster Jerome Walton deal!! Maybe they got Glanville as insurance for when Lofton quits on them too?
  3. Best move Jerry's made this year, I think! It was flawless - HUGE lead late, even if he stinks it up ( which he did, because after all, he is RICK WHITE ) then JM yanks him and White looks stupid and awful ( which he is, because....well.... ). If White happens to do well, it doesn't matter because it's mop-up duty ( or in White's case, FLOP-UP duty ) and nobody notices. It was perfect that White flaps his buffet-stuffer and then goes out and stinks the joint up.
  4. I heard Rooney and Farmer say the EXACT same thing after the Sox put up that 3-spot.... "and remember, kids, the key to winning baseball games is to score more runs than your opposition, while simultaneously holding your opponents to fewer runs than your team scores. The team that can successfully achieve this will, more often than not, be victorious."
  5. I've been pleasantly surprised by the defensive play of both Valentin and Lee lately. Neither are anywhere near Gold Glove status, but the bonehead plays and botched grounders are fewer and further between. And I was EXTREMELY happy with Frank's defensive play when he was at first. He seemed really comfortable over there, and happy to be on the field, and it showed.
  6. I agree. He's been having really good at-bats, even when he doesn't get on base, and I've been VERY satisfied with his defensive play. I don't know why that guy has a bug up his ass about Alomar, but I'm not seeing a washed-up Robbie Alomar AT ALL.
  7. I also have a chair from Real Comiskey - unlike HSC, it wasn't my chair ( as in season tickets ) or anything, but it's MINE NOW!!!! Also have the ticket from the first game at Comiskey 2 in the plastic giveaway ticket holder. Side note: my softball team back in the 80's used to use a bat that Jorge Orta used with the Sox - that was a SWEET bat, and I got many hits with it before it broke for good. Jorge Orta
  8. Yeah, but Mobil is ALWAYS 5 to 10 cents higher than Speedway, at least by me. Spend a dollar to make a dime just doesn't "add up" for me!! I haven't checked my statement in a while - I wonder if I'm up to 20 bucks in the bank yet? Hope my kid enjoys Community College!!!

Same basic program, just slight differences. Napster was the blueprint for the p2p programs to follow, such as KaZaA, Limewire, Morpheus, etc. They all are basically the same. the RIAA have them all in their sights, I'm sure...

Napster is dead because the RIAA decided to go after them first. Then they killed Audiogalaxy ( the BEST p2p system I've used ) Now they've turned their guns on KaZaA. They just don't get it, that their sales are down becuase they pump s*** out of their hype factory, NOT becuase of file sharing...

"Thanks for the memoriiiiieeeeeees...." Sorry, I just had to be the lame-o who did that!! Never liked his act, but R.I.P. Ol' Ski-Nose!
  12. Last time I checked, I had like 12 bucks "saved up"! ...guess I don't buy enough paper towels and soda!!!
  13. OH MAN, your head is my HELL!!! Currently in my head: "Pretty f***ed Up" - Supersuckers "Low" - Testament "Suckerpunch" - Wildhearts MY HEAD ROOLZ!!!!!
  14. How about 'Ban-'Ban??? or Lo-Down??? or EL Train??? ...I've got a million of 'em....and they all SUCK!!!!!!
  15. And I was also off the Frank wagon...I'm glad he's doing well, because when he's on he's a huge weapon. But loyalty is a thing of the past in professional sports, and trust me, if there was a deal to his liking last winter, Frank would be in another uniform right now, shooting little verbal jabs at White Sox management and fans. Professional sports now is all about the money and "respect", which usually means money anyway, so I'm way past falling in love with a player and defending anyone if they're not producing. So SINCE he's playing well and UNTIL he stops playing well, I'm all for Frank Thomas!
  16. Big Rosie O'Donnell fan, are ya, Maury? Or maybe that HOT Ellen Degeneres??? Not ALL lesbians are like the ones in the "movies", bucko!!!!
  17. A lot of topics to touch on: I like the taste of beer, but only certain kinds of beer. I like the lighter beers, like Corona or Rolling Rock ( new favorite is San Lucas ). I also like Hacker-Pschoor Weisse beer ( a thicker, "wheatier" beer which is GREAT with a lemon wedge ). Hate those dark bitter beers like Bass or Guiness - those taste like crap to me. Best non-beer alcoholic drink is Long Island Iced Tea. when done right, you don't taste the alcohol but you get f***ED UP. I don't usually drink to get drunk - I drink until I get a nice buzz and then stop. I'm very susceptible to hangovers and it doesn't take much, so I have to be careful. Best non-alcoholic drink is soda. I love the smell of coffee, but hate the taste. i can drink tea, but don't prefer it. Never done drugs - I've seen too many casualties to want to try it. Although, I've seen plenty of alcoholics in my day too, and I don't stop drinking.

while I think Faith No More was a very good band, and recorded some quality stuff, I personally would not call Mike Patton a musical genius at all. I really don't like Fantomas or Tomahawk that much, and a lot of his warbling gets on my nerves. Alkaline Trio is very good, especially the song "My Friend Peter", and I love Avail. They do a very nice cover of Pink Houses, and their original stuff has a nice hard guitar sound. Emo is good in small doses, and you'll find some really good stuff that falls into that category. An emo song I really like is "Eleven To Your Seven" by Hey Mercedes.
  19. FEUSCPKN? What the hell is that supposed to mean? It's code - didn't you get the Soxtalk decoder ring??? ...you must not be a "preferred member"....
  20. I must say that the 'talent" at Sox games is at an all-time high! Of course, since I'm married, I have to do the Seinfeld thing and look at the hot chicks like I'd look at an eclipse! ( In my best Seinfeld impression, which isn't very good: ) "You take a quick glance, then LOOK AWAYYYYY!!!!"
  21. Phil Hartman did a great Sinatra on SNL. That was the best. "I got CHUNKS of guys like you in my STOOL!" Phil Hartman :fyou Phil Hartman's wife
  22. ...neither? Giveaways are fine with me, though - it's the dumbass gimmicks that piss me off. 70's night, bulls*** Elvis crap, f***ing DOG DAYS, all that s***. Rob Gallas Pinata Night would be okay by me too...
  23. Did he get whacked??? That's the cameo I'd like to see...
  24. :finger I don't have a penis!! But do you have an E-PENIS????
  25. Went to Phoenix last September, and it was 100 every day. Oddly, I didn't sweat HALF as much as I do here! It was fairly comfortable unless you couldnt get to any shade for awhile. I liked Phoenix, but I'd never want to live there.
