Rich Vos was the only funny finalist. It's just too bad that he seemed so nervous last week. He is genuinely off-the-cuff funny - it's his strongest asset as a comic. Dave Mordal was the funniest person on that show, but he didn't have a "catchphrase act", so he couldn't win over the audiences. Rob Cantrell was good, IMO - he had an original, unusual and funny style. Dat Phan is a one-trick pony. The only time he made me laugh was when he said that he "was trying to break the stereotypes", when his ENTIRE ACT revolves around and depends upon stereotypes. I really hope they don't do Last Comic Standing 2, because judging by the sad sacks that applied for this one, the well is dry.

Cuz they see you and they know you're not gonna wear shorts, maybe?? :finger

HEY, that is ILLEGAL, sir!!! I guess I'm not really wondering HOW they do it anymore, since you guys are telling me a LOT of ways to get smashed , but rather how someone can do that on a Monday night if they have somewhere to be the next morning. ...the work productivity plummets the next day... ...and BTW, Jack is NO friend of mine - UGH...I hate that s***...
-
They only told you that you were a Mod cuz they knew you'd post a lot less if you thought you had work to do!! Why do you think they named 25 more Mods to watch the house, even though they had one standing by???
-
ahhh, big deal, that row of seats is there EVERY game....
-
Don Zimmer got to the playoffs with the Lovable Losers...but that team wasn't what I'd call "tremendously talented".
-
Well, he gets the s*** beat out of him numerous times in the movie. ...by the horse??? COOL. Well, there's ONE highlight, I guess!
-
Yeah, I suppose...although it takes a special brand of alcoholic ( coffcoff*Maury*coffcoff ) to get s***ty on a "school night"... It's unavoidable, I guess - big crowd = bigger # of assholes...
-
BOOM BOOM BOOMBOOM BOOM DOOM DOOM DOOMDOOM DOOM *CRASSSSHHHHH* ...although to be honest, I'm STILL not panicking. The offense was there, but Schoenweis was terrible and Gordon let them slam the door shut. It would help VERY much to take the last 2 vs. KC, though...almost a must....ALMOST.
-
I'd prefer he went back to umpire school...trigger-happy asswipe....
-
I figured you would say "Maury wouldn't fit on those cards" "continued on next card..." I don't have much room to talk, so I normally avoid weight-related humor. Now Maury's softball "skillz"....that's open season.....

Saw the previews, they didn't make me want to see the movie. Tobey's "lovable little nerd" persona is very annoying. Not the biggest fan of superhero movies anyway - they generally suck.

I still don't understand how people can get drunk at ballpark prices. On a weekend, maybe you get s***faced before the game, but on a MONDAY NIGHT??? I don't make enough money to get blotto at 5 bucks a pop!

Oakland comes here, by the way. A sweep would have been nice, but I didn't expect one. KC is in 1st for a reason - they're a good team, playing really well and doing it without their best player, Mike Sweeney. I feel confident with Loaiza and Colon throwing the next two games, but I felt confident with Buerhle throwing Sunday and we saw how that worked out. As for Anaheim and Texas, the Sox can't afford to take anyone for granted anymore. Every game has to be taken seriously from now on. There's lots of time left, but every game is big from here on out.

...only Cub fans care about ESPN and ballpark rankings...

Yeah, Steff, they just take Ian, blindfold him, throw him in the trunk, and the next thing he knows he's at the Cell! I don't know what time I'm getting there - I'm not part of the Maury Travel Agency package. I got my tickets months ago, because I also like the A's and one of my softball buddies is coming with me.
-
Sweet!!! I'll be hanging with Maury, and Michelle. You can't miss Maury. Nope. You can TRY and TRY and TRY, but you can't miss him!!
-
...power hungry Mod.... I just don't wanna be called a "jerkoff" or a "jagoff" by Roman. You gonna make you're way to the game Saturday Critic? Maury was talking about going... Yep, I'm there - bleachers section 160. Should be fun - definitely gonna look for you at the tailgate!

To play Devil's Advocate, that is just one picture from the press conference, and we don't know what caused her to make that face. she may have been reacting to something he said about "that woman". She's certainly been playing the role of the Loving Supportive Wife, whether it's honest or not. Lots of hand-holding and such. Personally, I would be torn if my wife ever did something like that. My first instinct would be "It's Over", but then when I think about everything else involved ( our daughter, all the time we've been together, etc ), I really don't know if it would be that easy. I'd have to do a lot of soul-searching to see WHY she'd need someone else, and if there's any way to fix the relationship.

Sorry, when you said that you didn't want to risk not having a place to sit when you got there, I assumed that meant you had some sort of festival seating. If someone's in your seat when you arrive, kick 'em out. But parking is still a concern if you get there late...
-
You're in "Either-Or" territory, Clu. EITHER you show up 6 hours early OR you risk not finding parking or a seat. You're going to have to show up early if you want parking and a place to sit, in most cases of "big" concerts. My days of "big concerts" are generally over, as most of the bands I like these days are playing small to midsize venues, and that's FINE with me. I hated every second of the Enormodome experience - too many people, too long of lines, bad sight lines, muddy hollow sound, some asswipe "singing" right in your ear out of tune, waiting an hour to get out of the parking lot....UGH. You can have it! Sorry I'm not much help, but with that many people, you're going to have to endure some inconveniences.

SURPRISINGLY NOT. VALENTIN HAS BEEN PLAYING PRETTY DECENT DEFENSE THIS YEAR. THE MARINERS TOOK ADVANTAGE OF AN OPPORTUNITY. THEY ARE A REALLY GOOD TEAM, AND THEY SHOWED WHY. THE SOX NEED TO TAKE 2 OF 3 FOR SURE AGAINST THE MIGHTY ROYALS. A SWEEP WOULD BE NICE, BUT NOT MANDATORY. EVEN LOSING THIS SERIES, WHILE TERRIBLE, WOULD NOT BE THE END OF THE WORLD. THERE ARE A LOT OF GAMES LEFT, AND THERE'S NO NEED TO PANIC ( ROMAN ). BY THE WAY, I DON'T LIKE POSTING IN ALL CAPS, AND I DON'T THINK I'LL DO THIS AGAIN.
