  1. Biggest thing for me to feel comfortable in our bullpen again is getting Bummer back on track.
  2. You really are a dense b****. I am fully vaccinated, by the way. And reiterating what the CDC says about vaccinated people not needing to wear masks INDOORS, let alone outside, is hardly comparable to whatever dumbshit comparison you are making to the 5G morons. In short - fuck you ADMIN NOTE: Poster was suspended for this post. Be smart and don't join him.
  3. fuck off, moron. Science is telling us that wearing masks outside when vaccinated, especially around other vaccinated people, is completely pointless. The CDC agrees. ADMIN NOTE: Poster was suspended for this post. Be smart and don't join him.
  4. The CDC does agree, though, given their update yesterday. This will be my last post on it, since I know this a game thread and not a covid thread.
  5. Is this supposed to be some kind of witty retort? I don't need to be a doctor to understand that vaccinated people wearing a mask while outside with other vaccinated people is about as dumb as it gets. Maybe you should do some research on the matter and you could be a doctor too!
  6. It. Doesn't. Fucking. Matter. He is vaccinated, outside, and around other vaccinated people. The masks are theatrical bullshit at that point anyway
  7. They're all vaccinated. Can we all stop giving a fuck about how they wear their masks, please?
  8. Two of the worst at bats you're going to see. goodness.
  9. 1-2-3 inning after the Sox put up 4 immediately prior is *exactly* what the Dr. ordered.
  10. Looks like it was April 8 and they got the J&J shot which takes something like 30-45 days to reach full efficacy
  11. Just to add on to what bmags said, the mRNA vaccines are something like 90% effective at preventing infections, and even better at preventing severe illness, hospitalization, and deaths. So yes, they do (not 100% but close) prevent people from getting infected in the first place.
  12. He definitely was hitting 100 or close to it at the start of Spring. edit - quoted the wrong person @Chick Mercedes
  13. Same. Would have liked to see a replay.
  14. Maybe a couple of you guys could chill on the Madrigal argument and enjoy the moment, eh?
  15. Collins has done a great job behind the plate recently. IMO.
  16. I am still pissed about watching AJ Reed get at bats in 2019 that could have gone to Collins and Mercedes.
  17. I'm with you. I struggle to see the logic in not playing the service time game, but also not putting him in the lineup.
  18. Moncada wins MVP, Giolito wins the Cy Young, and Vaughn is ROY
  19. Love the brawl prediction, but it feels like the Royals might be the more likely opponent
  20. Man. Looked like he put himself in decent position, too. Not like he ran into the wall because he was unaware where he was on the field
  21. From what I've read, a March uptick in cases was to be expected. *Hopefully*, we will see that the deaths and ICU hospitalizations trends not increase as much as the cases this time around, due to having so many seniors and at-risk individuals vaccinated. I guess we'll see soon enough.
  22. can someone point me in the direction of the post by Harold? Haven't been on much. TIA
  23. You said "vaccination doesn't prevent transmission." That's almost certainly wrong. I don't really see what's hard to comprehend about this. That "opinion piece" cited actual data, by the way. If you have any data to support the notion that vaccination does not prevent transmission, let's see it. You also said that the vaccines don't prevent infection, and that's already been pointed out to you as being wrong. So yeah, you're definitely spreading BS.
  24. Certainly seems to be a mystery to you, given that you were spreading false information in this very thread. My point, which you seem to have missed, is that if we are telling people they can still spread the vaccine and can't go back to normal after being vaccinated, less people are going to be lining up for the vaccine. That's just human nature. Here's a couple links that might explain it better: https://www.cleveland.com/opinion/2021/03/time-to-flip-the-switch-on-covid-19-vaccine-messaging-jim-sollisch.html https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/22291959/covid-vaccines-transmission-protect-spread-virus-moderna-pfizer
