  1. There may not be anything more worthless than MLB SOS when evaluating a team.
  2. A OPS+ of 110 for a guy with zero defensive or base running abilities is not a player who belongs in the big leagues. It's truly baffling that anyone still wants Palka around. He can't be a useful platoon because he has ZERO position.
  3. He always sucked. His stuff just isn't very good.
  4. Daniel Palka does not belong anywhere inside an MLB stadium if he doesn't buy his own ticket.
  5. Why would Daniel Palka ever play again?
  6. Adam Eaton played more games his final year with the Sox than he has played since. He's not getting younger. I wouldnt bet on him staying healthy, that's for sure.
  7. Eh, the players play hard for him and seem to respect him . That's like 90% of the manager impact in baseball. His in-game strategy sucks, but in-game strategy really has such a negligible impact on a baseball game it's just not that important to me.
  8. Sure, but obsessing over and enraging yourself about whether or not Ricky should bring in a pile or shit or a cockmeat sandwich out of the bullpen is pointless. You can criticize him for a lot of things, but the bullpen management just isn't one for me.
  9. I've said this a few times, but... NO ONE looks good managing a bad bullpen. The Sox bullpen is bad. No manager can make it good. When you only have 2 arms you can rely on out of your entire bullpen, there aren't a lot of good decisions to make and you can't abuse the two guys you do have. Especially given that they are assets moreso to the Sox than they are to a good team.
  10. apparently, when his pen is already short and awful, he was supposed to already have a pitcher warming up the minute jace fry came into the game - despite clearly hoping Fry would get him through the inning. just terrible takes.
  11. LOL Cooper has completely revamped his delivery from a clearly broken delivery at the end of his time with the Nats. This place loves to blame the coaches for everything that goes wrong and every mistake made, but they won't even give credit for a guy who has been rebuilt from scratch.
  12. Mental setback. My lord. He's a professional baseball player. If he can't handle an inkling of failure then he's done.
  13. Be critical of other short comings, sure, but LUCAS GIOLITO is NOT a 14 year old kid. Enough with this... let's let Gio leave on a high note. If the guy bounce back from giving up a base runner in the 8th inning of a 2-0 game then he is a loser. 105 pitches is not a crazy amount of pitches by any mean. Gio needs to learn to keep his delivery with some fatigue as well. Enough babying the guy. It was 105 pitches, not 150, and there was nothing wrong with letting him pitch to a batter in the 8th.
  14. His final pitch the inning before was 96 mph.
  15. for letting him get one more out? nah.
  16. Just a couple bad pitches Jack said.
  17. That was weird. Wonder why.
  18. He just threw a 91 mph fastball down the dick.
  19. Spin rate on it since they started measuring has never been good. Big bender but not sharp.
  20. No they don't. They cannot force you to have an MRI. If you say you want to give it 7-10 days that's what is going to happen. Not sure why that's silly. Not sure why you think any employer in the country can force you to any medical exam without your consent.
  21. Well, you cant force someone to have an MRI. You cant force someone into medical procedure. A lot of times when you hear about a team wanting to wait and see how someone bounces back... it's because the player doesn't want to get an MRI yet.
  22. Lol and do what? Force them to be checked out? Some of the takes here are scalding hot.
