Man what i wouldn't give to just watch a perfectly average, .500 team. This lineup is just brutal.

That's fair they were. However we all knew they'd slash tremendously and I guarantee Getz was told as much. I love when Getz tells us they're not going to "take shortcuts" in the process. The shortcuts being signing quality players.

There is no other man for the job. No other reputable executive in Baseball would take a meeting with JR, be told that even though they're last in payroll and worst in Baseball history, you'll be given no money with which to turn it around, and then take the job. Nobody. Except someone with no real talent, no indication of know how or talent evaluation skills, and no prospects of moving up the ladder in any other way.

Could be that losing is now baked into the culture of this organization. Could be when you're terrible for so horribly long the stench spreads throughout and there's not a whole lot you can do when there's such a poorly constructed roster. Outside of a season and half in 20/21 this has been a losing team for 12 years.

This team is gonna be 10 under on April 17 and it doesn't feel that awful. That's how truly fucking terrible this organization is.

Because he's a special talent who deserves it. I'm only disappointed he may make his debut on a Thursday day game. Would've definitely made it to his first game had it been a night game.
