  1. QUOTE(chisox72 @ Apr 30, 2006 -> 01:45 PM) I said the same thing out loud after I read the line up. I have no problem with Cintron and Mack out there, but AJ needs to play today. If anything, we are going to need his bat against Santana. Oh well, it is what it is, go get em boys! You ever been hit with a fastball in the back of the calf? Let alone have to try and play catcher the next day? I'm pretty sure he was limping pretty bad when he got out of bed this morning.

    Ipod Earphones?

    QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 12:03 AM) I have earbuds they sucked so I got another kind and they fall out too I hate my ears or the earphone makers not sure who to blame Buy some Shure earbuds..I love mine. But they are a little pricey.
  3. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 12:04 AM) Well, he pitched the final 3 innings of a win = save. Yea..I caught that part. I honestly never knew that rule before, I am admitting my stupidity in front of you all. Have at it. Doesn't change my opinion that it is a ridiculous rule. I could see them awarding a hold for closing the last three innings of a blowout, but a save? aww shucks.
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 12:01 AM) GREATEST.SAVE.EVAR fo'sure I need to read up on my ridicules baseball rules.
  5. QUOTE(daa84 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:56 PM) logan with his first big league save My sarcasm meter must be off tonight because I can no longer tell who is joking and who is serious. Great win tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dye! Paulie! Vazquez! etc, etc, etc.
  6. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:50 PM) Yes but Mark Grace also kicked ass on a few occations. I want a postion player to pitch damnit, I really don't care who it is. Wait till Sweeney makes the big club. He threw 92-94 mph in High School as a pitcher, and some teams were actually projecting him as a pitcher instead of an OF.
  7. QUOTE(SoxRock05 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:43 PM) Big K lol..you should quit why you're ahead. His pitching is an adventure for the fielders, hitters, coaching staff and fans. It's all fun and games in a game like today but other than that we might as well just let Uribe finish the game.
  8. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:41 PM) So, probably looking at Lopez or Montero. Probably not Trace or Haegs. Are you saying that you can do better than Boone Logan can? Can't you see hes nervous? Yea..I would imagine Lopez gets the call and will meet up with the team in Anaheim on Friday.
  9. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:40 PM) I dislike Boone. I like Boone, I dislike his inability to pitch at the Major League level.
  10. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:38 PM) I never kid. I'm soooo serious. I too suffer from the inability to produce a sarcastic comment. Holy hot Sox fans batman.
  11. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:35 PM) Whew. We needed the insurance. If Boone stays in the game you might be more serious than you thought
  12. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:32 PM) Dude, he gave up a long fly ball, a line shot, hit a man, and walked a guy. That is pitching well? Screw the 2 runs. He can do a better job than any of us? Sweet! Nice job Gload! But that is better than you could of done...so I dont understand your point. Jermaine Dye hits the ball farther than I can. He is a good player!!
  13. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:27 PM) This is not a guy to have on a championship-caliber roster. This guy is not on most any MLB roster. BTW, great game by Vazquez tonight and what a job by the Offense. Way to get out of it. Three soft outs :banghead
  14. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:24 PM) is there a replacement anywhere yet, i dont think so. We have a lefty in AAA who hasn't given up a run last time I checked. I mean Boone Logan is a nice story but lets be serious here..when can we really use this guy?
  15. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:22 PM) Poor guy. I wonder whats wrong with him. um..He got moved up from Single A?
  16. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 09:18 AM) dont worry. i had tix last monday for row 1 (AA, BB, CC were in front of me) I just sat in AA and those rich, non-carring season ticket holders didnt even show up. Chances are, you will be able to snag some seats up front. :rolly too funny
  17. Happy Birthday Jason!! *Insert witty banter here*
  18. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 09:27 AM) I love that this thread is still going. Heres an idea, deal Gload to the cubs for Scott Williamson. my oh my..that is scary. We were talking about this exact same trade idea last night at a friends.
  19. I'll be in attendance tonight. If you sit in the row below or in front of me, prepare to catch miscellaneous souveniers (tshirts, balls, etc) deflecting off of my not so supple hands. :banghead
  20. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 11:45 AM) DING! I am the master of the obvious. Illusion is for dummies.
  21. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 11:02 AM) Yep, it's quite ugly. He can't pull the ball without rolling over, and he's not getting his arms extended on his swing. Instead, he's just punching at the ball, and he's not hitting with any authority. When you couple that with his poor ability to judge what's a strike and what isn't......you get yourself a struggling hitter. BTW...let it be known that I'm not giving up on Anderson. I think he has the potential to be better than Rowand. It's just discouraging to see someone so clueless at the plate right now. Exactly..he looked much more aggressive at the plate last season in the few AB's he had. Thats why I am attributing much of his struggles to nerves and the pressure of trying to replace Rowand. It looks like he is thinking too much at the plate.
  22. Anderson indeed looks pretty pitiful right now. He is struggling to even clear his hands when he swings which is causing those weak groundballs and jamshot flies to the right side. The strikeouts are coming because he also has no clue on the MLB strikezone right now. Too many swings at pitches out of the zone and taking pitches that have a lot of the plate. Not sure if its a timing thing with him or if he is just not seeing the ball right now. Hopefully, things will turn around.
  23. QUOTE(greg775 @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) Even Best Buy puts limitations on earrings and hair length. Best Buy is a joke. Best Buy management should be ashamed of itself. This is stupid. JR should have mentioned it to Oz and Oz took care of it if the haircuts truly got too long. AJ was ready to get it cut anyhow it sounds like. Stupid. Why are you focusing on the Best Buy part of what I wrote..I don't even f***ing work at Best Buy, I'm just using it as an example. This whole thread is a non-story, plain and simple.
  24. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 01:54 PM) Anderson is worth a s***load more than ROwand, thats why the SOX didnt do it. Im glad our management doesnt include you. My only question is if all these people jumping off the BA bandwagon are allowed to climb back on. He's a rookie who is replacing arguably the most beloved player on last year's WS winning team. Give him time, he will produce.
