QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 01:28 PM) Yeah I predict he ends up at Memphis, it's just too obvious for so many reasons. Illinois will still get a very good player with that scholly though, a lot of guys are interested. Losing Rose sucks, but he (like Gordon) is a 1, maybe 2 year college player so who knows, maybe it will be a blessing in disguise. But yeah, your right about Rose.....I heard it a while ago and have heard it more and more as time has gone on, but didn't want to post it and start more debate. I wouldn't mind getting Nate McMillian's son, who has already stated he wants to visit.

QUOTE(G&T @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) My gf puts mayo on her hotdog and I want to puke every time I see it. Luckily she only does it in the privacy of her home. I *shudder* at the thought of that. Basically mayo on anything is gross. :puke I find this thread funny because it insinuates that he is against the whining of the 'new sox fan' (which, for one, is a completely unquantifiable entity) and what does he do about it? Spends the last six lines whining about why he doesn't like this sub-culture of fans.

Just paid $2.71 for regular. I need to stop working at Dairy Queen And yes gas prices will be over $3.00 this summer. *sigh*

I always loved watching Barry as a player. His off the field poor attitude doesn't affect me as a fan of the game. However his blatant cheating and lying about it has, which is why I wish he would crawl into a hole and leave the game alone. For the Bond supporters out there, I have the same feelings about McGwire and Sosa so don't come to me saying I hate Barry because he's a jerk. I could careless...

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 11:05 AM) On a whim I asked the Sox - you're supposed to sumbit charity requests weeks in advance - and they stepped up. Once again proving that this club is just the absolute best when it comes to helping out the community in any way they can. Awesome, good deal

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 09:53 AM) I need something today, so I'm kind of in a bind. I got some stuff signed on Tuesday, but I want to get one or two more things. It's for an AMSA charity auction that benefits the AMSA'S Institute Scholarship Program and the event is tomorrow night. Sounds cool...looks like you might be stuck. Hopefully they have some decent bargains over at Oak Brook Mall (if that is possible). At least you know they will be framed nice. A few years ago memorabilia and collectibles were a lot easier to obtain, nowadays the market has dried up and so has the number of suppliers.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 09:36 AM) Any other places you know of G..? BTW, yes on the buzzkill last night. Not off hand, I do know a guy who worked for a big supplier but this was a few years back and I have kinda lost contact with him. My card show days are way over. What are you looking for, I kinda have a knack for finding stuff... Things are usually a little cheaper if you buy direct from steiner sports or one of the other credible companies as most of the stores in the mall buy off of them and then mark it up higher.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 09:29 AM) There is a JCJ Memorabilia listed in teh Oak Brook Center directory (there's also one in Northbrook I think), but no phone number, http://www.oakbrookcenter.com/html/storedirectory.asp Ugh..that store is the type of place that sells memorbilia for ridiculous prices. I'm talking like $400 for a Cal Ripken signed baseball and stuff like that. I loathe stores that mark-up memorabilia like that but I guess if people actually buy the stuff more power to them.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 09:10 PM) I know people that spend that much on food for themselves (they are body builders, but still, haha). That includes supplements too. But ya that would be rough. It stinks, there are people that have to live on that, but thats just more reason to be motivated and do everything you can to make sure you don't. CPA's 4 life eh Greg Yeah..of course i was toiling at work when I wrote that post. This tax season has been so ridiculously busy i'm questioning the whole public accounting thing. I've lost four months of my life this year. I will be looking to possibly go corporate this summer. Hopefully I can find a job that pays around $10,000.

Fun with numbers Lets look at it this way if you NET $10,000 a year then you take home a check for $192.00 a week. I could live on that If you gross $10,000 its more along the lines of $145.00 a week
-
QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 08:32 PM) You work with adults that make $10,000 a year? They live in their 1971 piece of s*** car? Unless you're living in a van down by the river there is no way you can afford living on your own with earnings of $10,000.
-
QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 08:27 PM) Well although $9,000 may not seem like a lot to you, I was just thinking about how the adults that I work with make only about $10,000...in an entire year. And that's how much your jewlery costs. It's some shocking juxtaposition. I'm not going to comment on this as I'm only going to dig myself into a deep hole that I will not be able to get out of. I'll just say, make sure you set your goals high! and for those who want to gauge the price of diamonds...bluenile.com is a fun little site to play on.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 04:16 PM) I was so pissed when I heard that. I so wanted to buy one ticket. If you want someone to buy a ticket for you all you have to do is ask...

So everyone has issues with radio booth...for todays game now Mike North has joined them :puke

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 11:59 AM) That was Murcie's brainchild. Maybe we could set something up like that again. I'll sign autograph's for 20 bucks. Gage will for 5. The only way I would pay $5 for Gage's autograph is if he was signing a blank check I might be able to break even

I feel dirty but I'm currently listening to the Indians radio announcers I'm pretty sure this will be a common trend for me this year -

23, about what I figured.

Thank goodness. I'm a season ticket holder stuck with a green parking pass..at least lot F is for passes only. I have about zero interest in parking in an IIT lot. :banghead

Seats 4-11 are all mine...ALL MINE!!!!!!!!!!! ok..enough of that. I'm shocked more people don't take advantage of this offer. Good seats to the game, cheap food and beer, its a deal kids. We make a party out of it.

Curiousity killed the cat. Stupidity killed this kid. I have little remorse for those who decide or are talked into doing something like this.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 02:32 PM) State. Secretary of State offices. And I wouldn't do "Inc" - I would do LLC because you can pass through everything as though a partnership. As far as quotes - $700 a year doesn't sound too bad but the $1200 does. If they plan on becoming an LLC they have to apply for an FEIN through the IRS. I can get you an application if you need one Steff.

On a more positive note...I still have some faith in the United States. The Larry the Cable Guy movie only grossed 7 million dollars this week. There is still a little sanity left

QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 12:15 PM) You really think he's faithful? He came to the bar that all my buddies work at here in Madison and brought multiple girls back to his tour bus parked right outside. Whether it was screw em or snort with em I'm not to sure, but I'm fairly sure that he's not faithful. Just my hunch, none of this fact. Cue up the Vince Vaughn (no floating vowels) pictures with random hotties proving his infidelity. :rolly Or do we only do this with White Sox players??
