Your Least Favorite New York Knick!
Chisoxrd5 replied to hammerhead johnson's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
If you're a bulls fan you sure as hell better be voting for Jalen Rose. His time as a Bull was beyond painful to watch. His routine as a Bull: Drive into the lane, throw up lame ass shot, miss badly, whine to refs, fail to get back on defense, repeat. Granted, he had no supporting cast, but still that was pure torture. -
1. Tennis 2. Golf 3. Baseball Yes, in that order You guys need to think about the cushy lives of tennis players and golfers.

QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 05:47 PM) hey i know that there are some lawyers floating around on this board. i have a general question. an employee of my organization signed a non-compete. He since quit and went to a competitor. A customer of his, worked with us in 2003. This same customer worked with this competitor he went to back in 1999. Now this same customer has used him and this competitor in 2006. Did this employee violate his non-compete? There is no doubt that he handled the transaction. He might have, I'm a little confused as to the specifics of what you are saying. He was employed at your company and quit on what date? Also what was the terms of the Covenant Not to Compete? They can vary from 1 year to 15 years in duration? He was rehired by one of your old clients? And since then has taken work away from your company? Btw I'm an accountant, but I deal with these quite a bit.

QUOTE(thedoctor @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 03:46 PM) hmm. i heard differently. i heard from a friend of mine who went that he saw weber and didn't see weber speak with anyone. i'm not sure he is even allowed to speak with recruits right now. i'm also very skeptical of flowers as a big-time recruit. but who knows. I'm pretty sure coaches and recruits cannot talk in public during game days. Its a recruiting violation

linky This could get interesting. A man involved in the accident was found with a check for 2 million dollars (from the Tribune article), more cash and fake ID's and paperwork. Plus he was driving a Kia Sportage. I'm sure you can figure out pretty quickly why the FBI's Terrorism Task Force has jumped all over this. Edit: this might need to be moved to that 'political' :puke board.

QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 10:53 AM) Sounds dangerous. Kinda like self-inflicting dehydration. You can find them over the counter and in perscription form. Here..I don't really feel like going into any more details: Drugstore.com link

QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 10:49 AM) Ok.. little lady in the office comes over to me and asks me about taking water pills. No clue what they are so I’m sure I looked at her like she had a third eye. She says “Oh, I assumed you knew about them because you are so skinny…” Hu…? What are they and how are they related to being skinny? They basically dry up the extra water found in your body (legs, arms, etc.) My grandma was on them because she was inactive and retaining water in her legs. Now I think they are used by people simply to look more skinny by getting rid of that unwanted water that stores up in your fat cells.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 11:20 AM) So you think he's bulls***ting and never really got any s*** because of the color of his skin? I could see how he may have had a hard time at first. But the harder barrier for him probably came from within his own race. I'm not sure where he grew up but if he went to a predominately black school its a guarantee he got ripped for climbing into one of those one piece suits and going ice skating. Like any sport, regardless of the color of your skin it takes time to make your way. For him it was probably 10 times more difficult. No one knows enough of the background history to make any judgements and instead of this being a great, defying the odd story, it has become a huge pissing party. -

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 11:13 AM) I agree that both of them should of kept this to themselves. Its kind of stupid to have them fighting openly right after the medal ceremony. I am almost to the point where we lock them into a room, let them beat the s*** out of each other, then let them come out. Maybe after they get their frustrations out they can start acting like adults. Sadly, since they are American athletes that is doubtful to ever happen. We have to make sure that the rest of the world continues to hate us after acting like morons at the Olympics (see also the snowboarder and her celebrating b4 the finish line). -
QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 10:45 AM) I used to go under until I got married. How does that even remotely look correct to you?

I pretty much agree with Los...It's shame on both of them. They both could have taken the high road, but instead of saying the right things they have both continued to throw little jabs at one another. Also Shani Davis seems to have a huge chip on his shoulder and I am in no position to say if it is warranted or not. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 02:02 AM) Julian could very well be a missing link for the Illini this year. They could really use a high energy creator. Rather, they just have Dee floating on the outside with his poor point guard skills. As a matter of fact, Kansas fans better hope Julian cools down a little. If he keeps up this level of play, some team might promise him a lottery selection this year. I disagree that Julian Wright would be the difference maker for us. IMO the player we could most 'use' from Kansas would be Brandon Rush. We are missing a 2 guard that can get his own shot. We don't have a player who can have the ball in his hands down the stretch and get off a shot under diress. Dee is a very good college player. He has certain things that he can do well. But we are sorely missing consistent production from our off guard position this year. That and our poor free throw shooting will be our demise come march. -
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 02:08 PM) Bingo. Those corners are bigger than you might think. I think Rocker is a pretty thickheaded and ignorant f***ball, but I respect him having the balls to say the things that millions of other people think. I also have to respect his freedom to say them. At least you know what the deal is with Rocker. The only reason you hear what he says is because he has access to a microphone. He wasblessed with the talent of throwing a 95mph fastball from his left arm and still managed to screw that up. It's no coincidence that his scatterbrained comments are as wild as his pitches off the mound. God Bless America and our freedoms, but Rocker is an perfect example of what is wrong with country.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 02:02 PM) Well, he has no career left, so he's gonna try to sell books and make a little loot. He should go on tour with that Larry the cable guy or whatever that blathering idiot's name is and they could entertain the masses together. I have no doubt this book will sell a ton of copies.

QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 10:47 AM) Am I the only one that thinks she looks nothing like Sigler..? Sigler is Italian.. that one is clearly not. Geez let it go...you were right, he was wrong. Way to go... I for one have about zero idea who any of these famous people are. I recognized about 5 or 6 of the people in the pictures. I'm not sure if I should be proud of that or not.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 05:27 PM) I was just about to say that. That is Jessica Biel (very hot) and they took off all of her thickness!!!!!!! I thought it was Jessica Biel but I wasn't sure and didnt want to be ridiculed by all of you pic fiends on this message board

haha...the best one is the side profile of the one girl in jeans where they removed like half of her ass and legs..I dont think she looks bad at all in the first pic, but it is just amazing how altered the photo's that appear in magazines truly are.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 03:30 PM) White Sox fan's bitterness over Magglio's leaving is so puzzling. HE DID THE WHITE SOX A FAVOR. If he would have re-signed, the Sox would have come in second AGAIN. Not bitter at all...Its just bizarre to see a player who decided to go elsewhere, dwell on his time with the White Sox. It's not like we traded him or released him. He had his chances to stay on the South Side, declined and now is whiny about it. If anything he is helping our chances to sign and retain free agents. Don't leave the Sox or u will regret it forever.
