  1. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 02:36 PM) Gonna huh? They have nobody for next year, and they wont in the future. The guy simply cant recruit. I love when people decide to post in threads where they have no idea what they are talking about, just to try and raise hell for no particular reason. "The guy simply can't recruit" is soooo 2005 of you. That argument pretty much went out the door when Eric Gordon verballed to the Illini a few months ago. Hes the #1 SG in the country for 2007. I do agree with Palehose however. The amount of guys that 'have to bulk up' that Weber is bringing in is insane. You can include Semrau, Cole and Tisdale all in that group.
  2. Troy Aikman, Art Monk, John Madden, Derrick Thomas, Thurman Thomas and Reggie White. Lock
  3. Well I didn't say he was staying, I wouldn't be able to pass up millions and nor should he. That was the only rationale I could think of as to why he would stay. Apparently it is a moot point anyway.
  4. My opinion as to why he will stay another year, if he chooses to do so, is to avoid playing for the Texans. I wouldnt want to run behind that offensive line either.
  5. I'm heading out to Iowa City (Champaign West) tonight. Time to put the smack down on Alford yet again
  6. Apparently us *normal* season ticket holders do have to wait till January 24th to buy our tickets for additional games. They are going to be setting it up online so even we get to deal with ticketmaster to score some extra seats :banghead Keep checking your email Tony...thats what they told me to do
  7. LOL...the funny thing is I could actually see Kris saying something like that. Lets just say that confidence has never been a problem for him. 99 mph. too funny if this is actually true.
  8. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 11:08 AM) Hopefully that makes sense. Not really...but we love you anyway
  9. This new message board is a great parallel to actual politics in America. Lots of mud-slinging and name calling while absolutely nothing get solved and real issues are seldom thoughtfully discussed. Bravo to you all :banghead
  10. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 10:49 AM) Steff, I'm new to the season ticket thing...and I have not yet payed the second installment of my package...its due the end of the month. Did you already have the option to purchase additional tickets? Or how does that work? Yeah I'm pretty clueless as well...needless to say I've probably missed my window of opportunity to buy extra tickets. Grr....I'm really not having a good day today. I might actually post on the board today and be snarky and surly.
  11. QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 06:00 PM) Oh for the love of God... You win.... Aww come on, how can you back down that easy?!?! The future of the written word hangs in the balance, and you just give up? Somewhere the founding fathers of the mla and apa are rolling over in their graves over this travesty.
  12. QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 05:58 PM) It's not even a miscue.. it's just a personal pref. Both ways are correct. I guess it depends on the mentality of your target reader if you use the comma or not.. :rolly Usually my target audience is best described as 'moron'...does that mean I include a comma?
  13. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 05:52 PM) Actually, according to the rules of writing, a comma is absolutely needed. Put the sentence in Microsoft Word. It asks you to put a comma there. Like Steff is held to these "rules " like the rest of us. Please... I think y'all are getting a lil' bent out of shape over a little grammatical miscue. Where I come from we don't worry ourselves trying to be perfect in our gramma, just have to get our point accross.

    Gyros

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 09:41 AM) No, with FETA, as already stated, is awesome. There was a corner gyro joint in Greek Town back when I was in high school that, when you would ask for extra zatsiki (the cucumber sauce), the counter guy would shout out to the cook in the back, "One Gyro on a pita, EXTRA JIZZ!" Actually it's Tzaziki sauce which is a cucumber and dill sauce ...very yummy. With a little feta on a freshly toasted pita...It is like heaven
  15. QUOTE(CubKilla @ Jan 2, 2006 -> 01:41 PM) Move to Siberia. I, for one, will take the least amount of snow possible EVERY winter. If that's a by product of Global Warming, then bring the Global Warming on. Amen...I had enough winter in December freezing my ass off for three weeks and taking 3 times as long as I normally would to get home from work. If we don't get one more snowflake this year I will be a happy man.
  16. QUOTE(Steff @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) Yuk, yuk, yuk... Dont think I would actually provide insight into a thread like this...You must have expected something along those lines. Anyways, Here is my analysis for those on the edge of their seats wondering "I'm not sure what my opinion of the contract is until I hear what rd5 has to say" ... Garland for this price is a pretty good deal after seeing the other contracts. He's not going to be traded, but I am now fairly certain that Contreras is on the trading block. I can't see the Sox starting the season with six starters and a lack of relievers, KW will make a move...jmo of course Alright...back to regularally scheduled ranting and raving
  17. QUOTE(Steff @ Dec 28, 2005 -> 05:10 PM) For the right piece to the puzzle, no one is untouchable. Cue emphatic da, da, daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa music. Hire out Gene Honda to say, "FOR THE RIGHT PIECE TO THE PUZZLE, NO ONE IS UNTOUCHABLE"
  18. Pictures of the bowling ball, as promised...luckily I was able to find pictures of someone selling the ball on Ebay, so I didnt have to bother taking them myself.
  19. HEHE...White Sox World Series Bowling Ball...its pretty freaking awesome I will have to post a picture. Limited Edition to 500...have to decide if it gets displayed at my place or if I use it as my new spare ball...But it is SWEEEETT. And I got a hoodie and a few collector's books. But the Bowling ball = teh awesome.
  20. As long as they use him exclusively as a DH and not truck him out to the OF he is a solid pickup. He can still hit...now watching him throw is another story. I've seen six year old girls throw a softball farther than Rondell can heave a baseball.
  21. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Dec 22, 2005 -> 10:49 AM) Low risk, high reward. Love these signings. ^5 I love the fact that most of KW signings can all be categorized as low risk, high reward.
  22. QUOTE(Konerko4mvp @ Dec 22, 2005 -> 10:46 AM) i can se that u have aol mesanger so could u get on it a lil bit because that way it would be easier i think Ummm...If your looking for me to sell you tickets or something...I'm probably not interested. I will be putting some tickets on here when the season starts but I am unsure of dates, etc. Any other questions you have can be answered on here...I'm not looking for an instant messager conversation.
  23. QUOTE(Konerko4mvp @ Dec 22, 2005 -> 10:41 AM) I am wondering and have some questions regarding that so if u are a season ticket holder please leave a message or pm me ....thanks I might be able to help...emphasis on "might"
