  1. I disjointed rants. It's going to be an interesting three weeks...
  2. Anyone who blames Orton for this loss needs to watch more football. Three f***ing false starts, can't run the ball, allows the entire defense to waltz into the backfield following the false start penalty fest and a dropped ball by Moose. Goodnight
  3. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 02:19 PM) f***ing punters are pussy ass pieces of horsehit You didnt enjoy his arms flailing in the air after that excruciating hit? Well then you just don't like football.
  4. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 02:12 PM) What a bad play by Orton. Wow, the Bears should've never given up those defensive players(minus Phillip Daniels). They're killing the Bears on D. I'm sure you loved Walt Harris when he was here...give me a break :rolly Our defense is tired...its obvious. We have hardly had the ball because frankly our running game is gross. This is basically what I expected out of this game. Orton looks as good or better than any QB we have had here in the past three years. Hes done nothing but impress out there, IMO.
  5. No longer a teen...its all downhill from here Congrats...have a good one!!!!!
  6. QUOTE(RX Bandits @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 03:53 PM) Boors ad Bernstein always make fun of the people who ask about Julie Swika...but what really did happen to her? Soxtalk.com - Thread on the exact topic from a while back
  7. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 03:13 PM) Sosa could head to Japan next year.... Hmm I wonder why? http://www.tsn.ca/mlb/between_the_lines.asp Because he likes sushi? Because he thinks he can catch Sadahara Ohs HR record?

  9. QUOTE(CubsSuck1 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 02:39 PM) You guys downed a few for sure. Then of course you had the lady neext to us in the patio bringing 10 back at a time. LOL...yea that was quite the balancing act...I apologize for any outlandish and inebriated remarks made and do not in any way endorse ever consuming large amounts of alcohol in excess.
  10. QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 02:24 PM) it's soxtalk, why would you expect anything different? Of course not! and apparently I fit right in. Because instead of cutting my losses, I waste another two minutes typing a non-sense post that you actually responded to!
  11. I wasted at least 1 minute of my oh so precious time, pulling out headphones, clicking on the hyperlink, and waiting for it to loadup. All the anticipation and then I proceed to hear perhaps one of the worst 30 seconds of music I have ever heard in my life. Thanks!! :banghead
  12. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 12:21 PM) Yeah, Jeanne did a loop out at sea and looked rather inconsequential before she changed her mind and doubled back for us. There was one a few years ago (can't remember the name) that cossed the peninsula once, went up through the eastern Gulf states, turned east and broke almost completely up before exiting up in coastal Georga or the Carolinas, reforming and cominng back to make another Florida landfall. Not a very high strength storm (or I'd remember the name), but it was an odd one. Yea I remember exactly what you're talking about but I don't remember the name. I dont think the gulf coast has to worry about Ophelia but they should keep their eyes on the convection in the gulf that appeared about 24 hours ago. I don't know if anything has been said about it on any news channels but from my eye (which isn't very good, although I am fascinated by the formation of hurricanes and t-storms) look like something that needs to be watched. In fact, I wouldn't be suprised it gets labeled as a tropical depression before the end of the day. It would also be as strange as how Ophelia formed, as if from no where....
  13. My description of last night...................Too Drinky

  16. QUOTE(JimH @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:42 AM) And I did NOT make a blanket statement about everyone else's opinion, so stop putting words in my mouth. Note that I said there's a lot of credenial showing and chips on shoulders in this thread. Exactly how does that equate to "everyone else's opinion"? Try getting it straight next time. Who is the one getting all bent out of shape now? I never said you made a blanket statement. I simply quoted what you wrote and acknowledged the fact that you did indeed make a comment on other people's opinions. I'll back off the gas because we are way off topic. Jolly good, carry on
  17. QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:16 AM) One of the gals over at WSI got a table with nametags set up at the entrance to the patio so if yer interested be sure to stop by and tag yourself. Odds of me wearing a nametag --------- not good You're gonna have to figure it out for yourself who I am...
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:12 AM) You understood Mike's "opinion" completely... but missed everyone elses....? Your wrong...this is what he had to say about the rest of our opinions... :rolly QUOTE(JimH @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 10:54 AM) Totally agree. Wow, there is a lot of credential showing and chips on shoulders about this topic.
  19. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 10:41 AM) lol. Geez, if this is a hard time, you will never take the hill for us in the post season. You, Viz and Marte can hold each other in the pen. Here comes the meatwagon. New guy in the corner puking his guts out... :puke Anyone?
  20. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 10:14 AM) 4 years can't be lightning in a bottle, can it? Sure it can...it was a big bottle What I meant was we basically got him for nothing and he turned into one of the most dominant LH relievers in baseball...stop giving me a hard time, u know I get all worked up
  21. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 10:04 AM) I've seen Oz do it before, he did it to Loaiza last year and it worked, at least in that particular situation. He got in Marte's grill last night and Damaso responded by?...Folding. Is this guy ready for playoff pressure? Obviously, the answer to this question seems to be a big NO. Marte has had a rough season filled with bad luck and bad pitches. His confidence is down as well as his velocity. I'm not sure however if this is temporary or if the lightning in a bottle that Marte has been for us the past four years is all but run out. Regardless of how he does the rest of the season his trade value will remain high as his track record over the past few years speaks volumes. If he fails to get his act together, a trade will likely be in order.
  22. QUOTE(danman31 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 09:34 AM) I was happy to see Agassi win, hopefully he can go out a winner. In my mind the bigger deal is that fellow American Robby Ginepri is in the semis as well. It's annoying that the Americans keep beating each other, doesn't truely show how well we can do on hard court. I really, really hope Agassi can win it all....But no was has discussed the buzzsaw on the other side of the bracket, Roger Federer. Federer has to beat a couple of good players but I almost guarantee he will be in the Finals. And he will be a large favorite to beat Ginepri or Agassi. If Federer is playing his best tennis, no one can beat him. His matches are often boring to watch because he beats his opponents so badly it is never even close. Americans do dominate hard courts, but Federer's talent pretty much translates to dominance on all surfaces.
  23. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 08:58 AM) bullpen killer way to put a positive spin on no doubt, an awesome game. :rolly
  24. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 09:54 AM) Another reason that attendance has dipped is because of the hurricane. Majority of the people I know are donating "extra" cash they have rather than buy things for themselves or using it for entertainment purposes. Exactly. F-A-I-R-W-E-A-T-H-E-R. Look it even has something do with weather...
  25. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 09:33 AM) Seriously, did I really need to spell it out in that big of detail? You really think I believe you are a fairweather fan? Well your 'blanket' comment sure as hell included all of us under the 'fairweather' fan label. You're truly missing the point here, its a numbers game, not a pony up and go to the games situation.
