I think McCann will get more starts than people think. Rotating through catcher/DH and backup is meant to keep all of them fresher. Grandal and McCann both wore down during the long season. During the last month McCann got hit in the nuts in every game it seemed.

I think Collins was very nice.

Brett Gardner might still become available and a pretty good player on a 1 or 2 year deal.

Daniel Palka...Nicky Delmonico...Yolmer Sanchez...Trace Thompson...Leury Garcia...Adam Engel...Zack Collins etc. I think we must have lead the league in likeable players who struggle.

I would be all in on Betts for 5 years. It's the 1 year control that doesn't do it for me.

If you are willing to trade Vaughn...trade him for a sure thing controllable player. A one year rental would be GM malpractice.

McCann will play in more than 82 games and Grandal will and should play in 10 less games. Well rested catchers is a huge plus as the season wears on. The spirit of the mix and match of catcher/backup catcher/DH/1st. base is what makes Grandal such a super match for us.
