That's one word for it.?

I have always thought both would be offered extensions. I know some folks think Robert already has the money to turn down an extension but I bet he's chomping at the bit. Madrigal is a sure thing as long as Spring goes according to plan.

So are players like Robert.

This is an interesting name. Haven't heard his name brought up before. Looked him up and his history looks promising.

He would be a great addition if the price was as you suggest.

I'm an Engel guy myself. The bench probably will have room for both Engel & Garcia.

Yolmer back with us a 4 million wouldn't surprise me in the least. He is a good backup infielder. Just not worth 6 million.

I don't know if it was intentional but Grandal should serve as an inducement to most potential pitchers all else being equal.

My guess is Madrigal is extended in the last days of ST just like Eloy. Just need to see him have a solid Spring.

The reason he is a good trade chip is he is a good player. I know he might be sent packing but personally I love having a strong catching core...not just Grandal.

I agree.

Imagine getting those two signed before the Winter Meetings. Would free up RH to work on that RF opening.

I think McCann will get more starts than people think. Rotating through catcher/DH and backup is meant to keep all of them fresher. Grandal and McCann both wore down during the long season. During the last month McCann got hit in the nuts in every game it seemed.

I think Collins was very nice.

Brett Gardner might still become available and a pretty good player on a 1 or 2 year deal.

Daniel Palka...Nicky Delmonico...Yolmer Sanchez...Trace Thompson...Leury Garcia...Adam Engel...Zack Collins etc. I think we must have lead the league in likeable players who struggle.

If you are smart ...don't take that bet.

I would be all in on Betts for 5 years. It's the 1 year control that doesn't do it for me.

If you are willing to trade Vaughn...trade him for a sure thing controllable player. A one year rental would be GM malpractice.

Avi keeps looking better and better all the time.

You don't trade a top 25 prospect for a 1 year rental. You just don't.

Good.

Yeah...Dunn and Drakes dad will do that.

I hate dealing with Boras but he will take his client to the highest bidder. That just might be us.

It was only last week that someone said that to me about Grandal.
