I agree with Ken & Jon.

Teams aren't letting the grass grow under their feet this year. Their have already been a handful of meaningful signings.

Agreed. Trades are for teams without money except in unique situations (perhaps our RF).

I like this move. Shore up the hardest position on the field.

Works for me.

Best in the business is obviously subjective. I tend to be pro White Sox.

Hahn is the best in the business at this sort of thing.

Engel platooned with Hunter Pence would interest me.

Say what you want...JR is loyal to his employees.

Where have I heard that before?

Agreed.

Sign them both and you are really well covered.?

McCann has plenty of value to the WS. Any trade acceptable to our FO should be an overpay.

Like the player (Villar) but not this option.

This is what I have anticipated since day one. He is an excellent bench piece at 4 million. Once he doesn't find any takers at 6.2 million...very good chance he comes back home imo.

You are not alone on Engel. I think he is a very worthwhile bench piece.

Fast and bad.

Great...I have a game worn jersey of his.

Breathlessly,,,"do you have this from a reliable source?"

Somehow this signing escaped me when it happened. I like it a lot!

Pretty typical I would think.

Yep...cost money instead of players. In this case a 2nd round pick but small price to pay.

He does look great ...makes it look smooth and easy.

Very true.

I'm like Jose...I'm a one team kind of guy. I couldn't spend the amount of money these guys will make if I tried.
