I would love this move.

Every player is tradable for the right get-back. Bummer will only be traded for a drastic overpay IMO.

The grass always looks greener on the other side of the street.

Excellent plan and very realistic.

I would have thought a two year extension would have already happened if both parties like each other so much. Makes me think something just might be happening on the trade front.

Gio has the talent but needs to keep learning the craft of pitching. The morning after last nights display...it's hard to call Gio an ace.

Management needs to remember that baseball is required to be entertaining. Bill Veeck was a master at entertaining the fan even when the team was bad. Many games have had no entertainment value. Not smart.

Hahn is good at flying under the radar. I expect some type of deal with Colome involved that isn't being talked about.

Why dump him for nothing? That makes no sense. Someone has to pitch...why not Nova if don't have a better option? He takes the ball every 5th day and often pitches OK. I am definitely not a Nova fan but I don't get trading him for nothing.

The FO making a change when things aren't going well is a good sign. We all know they don't like to change personnel. Maybe Coop could be promoted.

Well...how do you like dem apples? I like dem apples!!!

Cease has tons of upside and contract control. Don't like trading that for someone with 2 years of control. Cease is likely to have a better year in 2020 than Thor.

Not the best work ethic in the league.

Mine is bigger than yours...let's move on.

Do we suddenly have an abundance of pitching?

We got what we needed out of this game...a very good outing for Lopez. Good to see an important piece of the future perform so well.

Why would I want Mazara in RF instead of Garcia?

When pitching is good and not slow-poke between pitches...defense is sharper as well.

Petty good stuff for next years probable 5th starter.

Who is this guy wearing Lopez's uniform. Damn...he's good.

His new contract was for 436 million for 12 years. He's certainly worth that if Harper is worth 300 million. However, I want no part of having so much team resource tied up in one player. There are reasons these player don't usually play on championship teams...unless the team is big market. Medium and small market teams don't have the resources to build enough team around them. Stars are great but baseball is a team game. With 25 players needed it is very hard to build a winner when one player sucks up 25% of available resources. Much smaller contracts by todays standards to Cabrera and Mauer really helped sink the Detroit and Minnesota teams.

Adam LaRoche will always have my vote for least favorite Sox player. Could not stand the guy.

Asking price should be through the roof and Hahn is quite good at extracting the maximum when he has something good to trade. This will definitely not be a salary dump.

I would hope that this trade would lead to Hahn's immediate dismissal.

Both sides of this discussion keep repeating the same arguments. At this point Hahn will have to work this out without our help.
