What the Brewers Series is Telling Us
Oops...obviously meant Engel.

What the Brewers Series is Telling Us
On a consistent basis, I want Eloy at DH with Vaughn in Left and Engel/Sheets in RF. Get Escobar and you have a well-balanced lineup regardless of the pitcher's handedness.

What the Brewers Series is Telling Us
Our lineup goes from lousy to awesome when we get the 3 guys back and Escobar type at 2nd just makes it scary. The bullpen needs at least 1 top arm and two would be better.

Today's Crazy Play as I Saw it
If the idea of replay is to get it right...they did. Moncada screwed up...end of story.
- 7/24- Chicago @ Milwaukee, 6:10

ELOY back Monday against KC
I vote yes!

Luis Robert cleared for Rehab Assignment
Better find two relievers and a second baseman.

7-23 GT: Sox @ Brewers (7:10pm)
This was my takeaway from tonight's game. We can see the improvement as Vaughn matures into a real ballplayer with each additional game. Until reinforcements arrive this lineup puts me to sleep,

Well...why didn't you say this earlier?

Trade Deadline Thread
I agree...RH knows how to run a tight-lipped organization.

That's what they are saying as well.?

Yermin retiring? Nope. Wait, maybe yes? Wait, he's active in Charlotte again.
This is most certainly true. I still believe he has some limited value as the second piece in a deal. A second-tier NL team might like being prepared for the probable DH and Mercedes does seem to appeal to a certain type of fan.

Who might be going to the minors when our injured Stars return?
I agree that when it comes down to Goodwin or Hamilton...Hamilton has those useful tools of speed and defense.

Doesn't work well for kids who threaten to run away from home either.

White Sox considering Nelson Cruz
Well maybe I will be surprised but IMO there is zero chance that we are going after Cruz for the reasons I have already stated.

White Sox considering Nelson Cruz
I think Eloy's bat and Engles/Sheets glove are better than Cruz's bat and Eloy's glove. I would also like to play Vaughn somewhere along with Burger on occasion. I like Cruz as a bat but he doesn't fit us well IMO. Also, Twins are going to get something back from us as well. Best to spend the money where we actually have need.

White Sox considering Nelson Cruz
Yeah...and a lousy fielder in left.
-
Milwaukee
Just a few minutes...maybe 10. Great choice.

Yermin retiring? Nope. Wait, maybe yes? Wait, he's active in Charlotte again.
Be patient and this will be sorted out by end of business on July 30 IMO.

White Sox considering Nelson Cruz
You make several valid points but I would take the money and spend it at second base and bullpen.
-
White Sox considering Nelson Cruz
No...I am suggesting that Eloy, Grandal, Abreau, Burger and Sheets make it silly to spend resources on a DH.
-
Milwaukee
A great old German restaurant. I started going there maybe 60 years ago. Highly recommend it.

White Sox considering Nelson Cruz
Sheets is also in the DH mix. If there is one position that we are set...it is the DH.
-
White Sox considering Nelson Cruz
With Eloy ready to come back...this is one rumor that just isn't going to happen IMO. Makes zero sense.
