Well obviously this would never happen but for the sake of discussion why would we make Dye the DH. I thought he was a very good defensive player, if anything in this bizarre scenario wouldn't Podsednik have the be the DH.

I watched a late season series between the Twins and the Indians at the Metrodome this year and Belliard looked horrible. He must have made at least 3 completely unaccpetable baserunning mistakes. I'm not sure he's the kind of guy we want, plus he's got a little potbelly. Not the sign of the hardworking player Ozzie likes.

Well's he's a lot younger than AJ, with a hell of a lot more potential. Seeing as AJ peaked a long time ago that's pretty obvious. Also he won't be starting at the major league level next year likely, and won't be able to screw up any early year team chemistry. Completely different scenarios here.
