Josh Donaldson called Tim Anderson "Jackie"
Tim continues to do a great job, each and every day. All kids, in fact.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Think Josh has both awoke the White Sox from their slumber, and sabotaged his clubhouse in two fell swoops. Really glad to see the Sox respond the way they did. Have a feeling David Justice and Giancarlo Stanton will implement their plan to address Josh Donaldson the first night (Thursday) of their road trip, assuming the Asshat isn't at home with a suspension or DFA.

5/22 GT - Sox @ NYY (Double Header)
Grandal played both games today, and even if he didn't, gets a pass due to his actions defending Tim and Human Decency yesterday.

Or they can just acquire their first solid 2B or RF for the very first time under this "multi-championship" window.

My bad, Hard to keep track of the myriad bought and paid for MLB media. Was thinking of Bob Nightengale when I posted this.

Josh Donaldson called Tim Anderson "Jackie"
You people would be crying and clutching your pearls about Tim “using the race card” if Tim explicitly stated it was racist. Tony La Russa explicitly said it was racist. Liam said Donaldson’s whitesplaining explanation postgame was complete and utter bullshit. Disrespectful racist bullshit is the consensus opinion of the White Sox players and staff when commentating on Josh Donaldson’s statements and actions yesterday.

Sad statement by Jerry Reinsdorf’s & Rob Manfred’s shill. Hopefully he is not speaking on behalf of Jerry in this instance.

Have you ever been to Bridgeport? Evergreen Park? SoxTalk? There has always been a subcurrent of racism in both fanbases (Cubs and Sox). It's society, and many fans represent the lowest common denominator. One of my last trips to Comiskey in 2019 (was in the club seats), had to summon security to kick out/ shut up this drunken asshole who kept screaming n-word, dropping the r for "as" in a sky box, some "clever" take on rapping. They didn't kick him out, but they did watch the box the rest of the game, and he thankfully STFU the remaining two innings.

More Chelsea fans than Sox fans in this thread.

Josh Donaldson called Tim Anderson "Jackie"
Additional usual suspects weigh in. Sad this Red Sox douche besmirches Lou Gehrig's name by using it as his handle?

Josh Donaldson called Tim Anderson "Jackie"
The usual suspects, be it defending La Russa’s past comments and actions, the Atlanta Baseball team, Donaldson, Mike North, etc.

Josh Donaldson called Tim Anderson "Jackie"
Brings to mind the John Rocker comments. His racist quotes at 2:20. Interview with Gammons starts 3:25 Rocker on calling teammate Randall Simon a Fat Monkey, and whitesplaining how Randall Simon is "not a black guy" and "clubhouse humor" at 5:35. Randall "Not a Black Guy" Simon Step aside Kings of Comedy, John Rocker and Josh Donaldson "In The Club-House".

Josh Donaldson called Tim Anderson "Jackie"
Just imagine if you were an older (50s) white man, and have to be lumped in with this shit. Bottom line is Donaldson is and always has been an asshat POS, and sadly not surprised at his actions where were dumb beyond his racist trash talking because the Yankees were well on their way to beating the Sox and have had a great start to the season. This incident can light a spark for the Sox, and for Donaldson may create angst and disruption in his own clubhouse. Just a total assclown. Also, just saw the video and kudos to Yasmani Grandal for standing up to this piece of shit. Peace

Monday is an off day, so they may go Minor League Callup/Bullpen for one of the games on Sunday. Will be interesting to see how the lineups are constructed, and whether Tony's preferences to punt game 2 go up against the unwritten rule of slating a strong lineup for the national telecast.

Was there some type of scandal disclosed? Pretty early in the season to pull a move like this without something unexpected occurring. Hell, it's 21 games less than Ricky got before being fired after his extension.

I thought Jerry Goldsmith's Soundtrack from Hoosier was the best compliment to the movie, really helped bring one back to the 1950s, and was the best complimentary piece. That said, the best scene / song pairing was Elias' death in Platoon, as backed by Adagio For Strings.

The reality is far worse than this. You need to go to the Original Comiskey Park, a pitchers park, and a season before most of us (I was conceived during this season) were even born, to reach this level of run scoring futility. 1968 was the last season the White Sox did not score 5 or more runs in 10 or more games after 37 games. There was no designated hitter at the time, and this was the final season before MLB lowered the pitchers mound and shrunk the strike zone to the current dimensions. https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHW/1968-schedule-scores.shtml The White Sox were so bad this season, A. The White Sox split home games between Comiskey Park and Milwaukee County Stadium, in an attempt to draw more fans. They drew 803,775 (9th out of 10 AL teams) over 81 home games, or less than 10,000 per game. B. GM Edwin Short went through three different managers this season, if only we could be so lucky. Eddie Stanky (34-45) Les Moss (12-24) Al Lopez (21-26) C. The team finished with a 67-95 record. D. It took until the 53rd game of the season for the Sox to score 5 + runs for the eighth time, a 5-2 win over the Yankees at OG Yankees Stadium, with Wilbur Wood getting his 4th win of the season in front of 5,340 fans (yikes). The 2022 White Sox will need to go another 16 games to tie, or 17 games with less than 5 runs each game to pass the offensive futility of the 1968 Chicago White Sox, a team handicapped by both the pitcher hitting and a higher pitchers mound.
