  1. Among guys with 30 or more AB, Zach Collins is 2nd on the team behind Grandal in OPS vs RHP in the last 30 days, so yeah, let's sit him.
  2. Normally the team announces roster moves before the lineup gets posted, so the move is possibly not happening today.
  3. The power 5 schools have been talking about splitting from the NCAA for a while now, and this may be what shoves them over the edge. Power 5 conferences plus ND, and maybe the service acadamies, and a handful of competitive G5 schools like BYU, Boise st, Cincinnati, break away to form their own association. Top non-football schools from the Big East, MVC and WCC may get to come along to keep the basketball tournament as close to status quo as possible.
  4. Sure you're watching Cubs-Brewers and not a Bears-Packers rerun?
  5. I don't. I want all those guys gone when we play them 6 times. The more easy wins, the better.
  6. He'll say whatever the team tells him to say so his trade value doesn't take a hit.
  7. Yeah, I wish I hadn't seen that. Ortho injuries freak me out.
  8. 6 inning no-hitter at Coors should count as a full no-hitter.
  9. Pitcher named Coulombe with lighning nearby. Interesting.
  10. Since the beginning of the Houston series and including today, the Sox have 42 singles and 19 XBH, with 9 of those 19 coming in 2 games.
  11. Leury can't lay off and can't hit low pitches in or out of the zone, so I have no idea why any pitcher ever throws him anything belt high. It's the only thing he can hit.
  12. Sheets hitting to the opposite field. Sox hitting coach will cure him of that quickly. Soon he'll learn to pull weak grounders to 2nd like he's supposed to.
  13. What distinguishes Portuguese water torture from water torture originating in other countries?
  14. Time for Collins to show his teammates how to hit a RHP.
  15. He got a couple good pitches to hit and didn't do anything with them.
  16. Every pitch in the zone is either foul or popped up.
  17. I've seen a few people say this or something very similar, and I've always wondered where this info is coming from.
  18. Right now, with the game on the line vs RHP, I'd feel better about Collins at the plate than even Abreu or Anderson.
  19. Collins fits into the category of MLB platoon hitters.
  20. I think Tony will stick Hamilton out in CF because it's a defensive upgrade over Goodwin. And yeah, I forgot that Gio is pitching to Collins at C, Grandal at 1B and Abreu at DH.
