U of C is already an elite academic school. They don't need sports to draw students. Schools not in U of C's class have to compete for students, and a top football or basketball program can make them stand out from other schools. Notre Dame was a tiny, struggling school until football put them on the map and now they are an elite school. Schools like Louisville and Florida State have improved their academic standing as they made their way up from the old Metro Conference all the way to the ACC.

If Burger isn't in Moncada's league at 3B defensively, then let Burger play RF. If the Cubs are putting an inferior fielder at 3B and sticking Bryant in RF then that's dumb and maybe that's why the Cubs are losers.

I don't know how good Burger is at 3B. It doesn't have the defensive value of SS or 2B, but it's still an important position, and Moncada is pretty good there. I'm not moving Moncada off 3B unless Burger or whoever else is just as good there.

Cleveland has had trouble with Baltimore and Detroit. Astros having trouble with Baltimore Yankees got swept by Detroit. Despite all the Sox injuries, they have been excellent against bad teams. That's keeping them close to the best record in the AL until the reinforcements arrive.
