  1. Stephen Strasburg was worthless in the 2012 postseason for Washington. It's almost like he wasn't even there.
  2. In terms of what kind of return I would expect in a trade, I'd put Vaughn and Sheets in Tier 1, Burger in Tier 2 and Mercedes in Tier 3.
  3. I don't get Collins batting 9th vs RHP. He's been destroying RHP lately.
  4. Every conversation on sports talk radio is dumbass. Hosts who don't really know any more than the fans pretending that they're experts.
  5. I expect it will take several iterations of identifying and fixing bugs to get it to the point that it can be used at high levels.
  6. He was playing by the same rules as everybody else and is still a top 30 pitcher. The only way "sticky stuff" matters is if he was using it but somehow all those guys in the 31-60 range weren't. If everybody gets worse by the same factor he's still top 30.
  7. There is a DH vs MIN on Tuesday and an off day 2 days later, so the Sox could go with two regular starters for the DH or they could use Kopech for one and give everybody an extra day's rest. I'd lean toward using Kopech.
  8. Skip him when you can do so because of an off day, start Kopech in his place once or twice, but don't shut him down entirely. Don't want him to get rusty when he's in such a great rhythm.
  9. As someone who lost a close friend to being hit by a drunk driver, no number of championships is going to make me feel good about TLR as manager. Sticking strictly to performance, he's finally managing like someone with experience after a few months of managing like someone the game has passed by. Fortunately he inherited a team that's vastly superior to the rest of the division to allow him time to get acclimated without ruining the team's chances.
  10. Frazier has a .467 SLG which is higher than everybody on the Sox with > 100 PA, so can we stop with all this talk of him being some sort of singles hitter with no power?
  11. I don't like having Leury stuck at a single position and unable to move around as needed. Now, if the 2B market isn't reasonable then that's a good backup plan, but I'd like to see Escobar at 2B and let Leury platoon with Hamilton in RF until Robert is back and then fill in elsewhere as needed.
  12. When Lamb comes back, there is no point to having both Lamb and Sheets on the roster. The emotional side of me wants to see Sheets stay, but the logical side says that Lamb stays since Sheets can be sent down. Would have a short leash on Lamb though.
  13. She specifically asked him to choke her out and giver her all the pain. Of course anybody reasonable would not think she wanted to have her skull fractured, but that seems like a hard legal case to make.
  14. Haas is wasting two of them running matchbox cars.
  15. I know 14 days is very optimistic for when he could be back but that would be awesome since I'm going to the July 26 24 game.
  16. That's the nice thing. The Sox don't have to do that. Escobar is available. Others may become available. Worst case scenario Leury Garcia mans 2nd and you get great defense and maybe even good offense. There are options A, B, C, and D before you get to something like putting Burger or Moncada at 2B. Stop treating option E like it's option A.
  17. The Tigers aren't loaded with really good players, but the ones they have have remained remarkably healthy compared to the rest of the league.
