Any guy who is on a team's 40 man roster that gets traded must be added to the new team's 40 man roster right away or else they would have to DFA him. I'm not 100% certain but I don't think his option years reset either so he could not be placed in the minors next year without being DFA and exposed to waivers.

I agree he should cut down on the steals but a couple of those caught stealings were botched hit and runs.

The Blue Jays or Yankees might challenge Oakland for that final Wild Card, but I still think Oakland gets it. I don't see the NL changing other than which team wins the NL West and which two are Wild Cards.

There's been no talk of adding a catcher (though I think Molina would be an ideal get) so that tells me that they expect Grandal back early enough to get a few weeks in before the postseason.

IMO 533 is a better seat than 154. As for getting to the lower levels, why do you want to go there? When I go to a game, I sit in my seat and watch the game, with one trip to the bathroom and concession stand mid-game. It doesn't matter to me what other areas of the ballpark I can get to.

What I really hope comes from the Story rumor is that it brings the price of Escobar down.
