This game has sucked, but it's kind of dumb for the announcers to keep joking about how long it's taking to play. Just another reason for people to turn this one off. They aren't too excited bout this one. I guess Freddy put 'em to sleep and they can't wake up.

I like when players fight back in a reasonable manner like this. Wise would probably have been wise to shut up since he didn't have a track record, but I can see why he'd be pissed. Jenks, who has closed for six years, has every right to tell people in a calm, non Zambrano-type way, that it's pretty s***ty that he always has to prove himself. Still it all boils down to the same thing, Just Win Baby. The only way a closer can shut people up is to get every save. That shuts everybody up. Maybe blow one a month or something but no more than that.

I've noticed that as well. Nobody is definitively saying whether CQ should have caught that ball last night. I say I don't think so, what do you all say?

I'm not baiting anybody. I've been baited a lot in threads and usually take the bait especially on the topics of Wise, Dye and Jenks. I get baited and I do bite.

That was a big hit considering Bobby's closing struggles of late. I wish AJP would change the batting stance to not be so open, but I guess he knows what works the best for himself.

I agree, Bolt. Defense can be as important as whacking a few hits per game. That's why I wish we'd just send Dayan down. Oz is in love with Omar's defense and Dayan isn't going to play, so I'd be in favor of demoting him just to get him regular play.

I agree CaliSox, but I wasn't positive. He looked like kind of a spaz after it whacked off the wall, but I thought it was a true shot over a rightfielder's head. Side note: Alex Gordon returned tonight from minors: 0-4 with an error in right. Poor Alex. May need the proverbial change of scenery.

I love Bobby Jenks' comments. Perhaps it's time to ship him to another team and let him close for them. I am of the opinion the Phils or somebody would welcome him. We have Putz and Thornton so we could afford trading him for a bat. That clip of his strikeout of Thome was nice, as well.

Great job by Mark. I watched the game from the third inning on. Man he was good. I read through this thread. People were freaking about CQ on that hit to right. I may be mistaken but that was a shot over his head. I think it's at least debatable whether any right fielder would have caught that one. I guess if you got an immediate amazing jump you could pull that one in. CQ had two RBIs so he more than made up for that, if indeed you thought he should have had it. I personally thought it was a true hit.

That topic is going to explode the next time Jenks enters a game me thinks and it won't be me starting the conversation good or bad, It'll be me responding to a lot of the conversation, though.

I'd be in favor of sending Viciedo down so I don't have to think about him. It's pretty obvious he isn't going to be playing much at all. Oz worships Omar (who is an incredible glove) and Omar is obviously going to play every day at third, maybe getting one day off a week? It appears to me he's committed to CQ in right most of the time and when Jones plays out there, CQ will DH. The other times Jones/Kotsay will DH so Dayan is obviously out. It's pretty obvious Oz still loves Kotsay too. I love Viciedo but would be in favor of sending him down just so I don't have to think about him getting screwed out of PT. Maybe he can work on his 3B glove down there. Was he playing 3B or outfield when he was in the minors?
