I'd probalby keep Beckham second, but it wouldn't bother me either way. Beckham has been hitting in both areas of the lineup and Lexi has been sizzling since his slow start as well. One thing is for sure: This will be another hot topic source of b****ing on here and everywhere if Beckham is moved down. With Wise not getting blasted as much of late, this will be the topic that brings out the anger again if Beckham is moved.

That really puts the Cubs in good position. It's worrysome to me also that Detroit has played three fewer games than us. They have nothing to lose in those games. I wonder how important that cubs-sox makeup game will be in September? Could be an emotional game.

I wish they'd DL Liney for a while. He does suck. Sorry to say I haven't been impressed much with Pena. I am not a Carrasco guy. The new lefty appears maybe better than Gobble, but doesn't thrill me. Just think if we got the good Dotel and the good Thornton every night out or 85 percent of the time. We'd have it made. Those 2 guys are ultimately the key with Liney sucking. 3/4 from NY is great, but it would have been nice to make up for the disasters in Detroit and Minnie with a shocking sweep. I'd be thrilled if we won another in Detroit and one in Minnie. But no way to b**** about 3 of 4 if we don't rally. CC has rebounded incredibly well since CQ tried to stretch the single into a double.

Fans are getting restless. There are a lot of bad pitchers in baseball today. Appears Randy Williams may be one of 'em.
