  1. Good job, Bolt. Now we have a fighting chance. Go Gavin!
  2. Thunderbolt, you know you jinxed us. Please say something negative about Floyd to negate the jinx. Thanks! Kidding, but I am superstitious about baseball and now he won't last 2 innings unless you reverse the jinx. I'll try: Floyd has no chance vs. this Angels lineup, guys who will be pissed after the walkoff loss.
  3. Pods ... what a season. Who'd a thunk it when we acquired him and so many of us were pissed. Great great walkoff win. Jose ... is he gonna see the mound again? What was that??
  4. Yep, things can change in a hurry. Torres better fill the role Clayton filled before. No Poreda, no Clayton to throw in there.
  5. You don't think that road trip is the toughest we've had in a looonnnnggg time? Oh brother. Four in Boston; three in New York, then the automatic sweep in the dome? That is one f***ing tough road trip, brother.
  6. Man, why do some guys become favorites and other not? Are you serious? Alexei is electric and a good hitter; Nix a sub. As far as his sloppiness at ss, didn't we all know this would happen this year? The Sox decided to move him from second where he was damn good. I can't believe Lexi is about to become a Wise-like figure in many fans eyes if Oz bats him second.
  7. Are you guys worried about this series? In my mind, two out of three would be a big-time success. We're at home so we have to keep winning series in the Cell if we hope to win this division. I can't help but keep peeking at that road trip from hell at the end of the month as well. Four at Boston; three at NY, then we get swept at Minnie again? My god. Thanks schedule maker.
  8. I'd probalby keep Beckham second, but it wouldn't bother me either way. Beckham has been hitting in both areas of the lineup and Lexi has been sizzling since his slow start as well. One thing is for sure: This will be another hot topic source of b****ing on here and everywhere if Beckham is moved down. With Wise not getting blasted as much of late, this will be the topic that brings out the anger again if Beckham is moved.
  9. Good stuff as usual. Thanx.
  10. That really puts the Cubs in good position. It's worrysome to me also that Detroit has played three fewer games than us. They have nothing to lose in those games. I wonder how important that cubs-sox makeup game will be in September? Could be an emotional game.
  11. No f***ing way. They will be proud of the new stadium. They aren't going to play us in the dome just to kick one team's ass. I still can't believe what pussies we are in that place. The Angels and Yankees kick some major butt in the dome.
  12. He's also young. He's going to get better. I wish there was a way we could have kept him. I mean was he going to be the deal breaker?
  13. Amen on what you guys are saying about Minnesota. The Angels just crushed them in the dome and we go in there like the Twins are the best team in baseball. I'm a little afraid of what we're about to get in the hot Angels. We should crush Minnie pitching in that s***f*** of a dome.
  14. I wish they'd DL Liney for a while. He does suck. Sorry to say I haven't been impressed much with Pena. I am not a Carrasco guy. The new lefty appears maybe better than Gobble, but doesn't thrill me. Just think if we got the good Dotel and the good Thornton every night out or 85 percent of the time. We'd have it made. Those 2 guys are ultimately the key with Liney sucking. Maybe Jhonny will be the answer. He looked OK in his one batter though he did go 3-2 on him. Not good.
  15. Little disappointing that the game went to hell after we took the 4-3 lead. If Mark has it today, we sweep. He's human. Too bad NY got the insurance run late. Maybe Beckham woulda tied it up. Thank you Cleveland. We better keep bringing it. The Angels beat the piss out of Minnie and those games were in the dome I believe. They will come in here with the potential to kick our ass like they did Minnie.
  16. We got the good dotel today. Wow. It's now or never. Seventh inning baby.
  17. 3/4 from NY is great, but it would have been nice to make up for the disasters in Detroit and Minnie with a shocking sweep. I'd be thrilled if we won another in Detroit and one in Minnie. But no way to b**** about 3 of 4 if we don't rally. CC has rebounded incredibly well since CQ tried to stretch the single into a double.
  18. Fans are getting restless. There are a lot of bad pitchers in baseball today. Appears Randy Williams may be one of 'em.
  19. We don't know for sure yet, but I think I'd rather have the Guillen type player with an Allen-like attitude, assuming Allen has a good attitude. Aren't middle relievers a dime a dozen in the free agent market every year? This Pena doesn't seem much better than a lot of hacks around baseball.
  20. This is what I thought would happen with Mark when we got the 4-3 lead. Thought he'd start mowing em down. Didn't think it'd be CC settling down.
  21. Hard to believe we have five innings worth of at bats left. Knock out CC like they finished off Mark!
  22. A homer there woulda been the game. Thanks Dye. We're still breathing.
  23. How many hits are we gonna give up today? What's the record number of hits in a game against us at the Cell? My god.
  24. Funny how we get a nice laugher and it's against the Yankees. Crazy game this baseball. Too bad Detroit won. That's a problem that they've played 3 fewer games than us. We're tied in the win column. They are playing with the house's money in those 3 extra games.
  25. He's a good prospect. How old is he, anyway? With Buehrle as his mentor, he might have done big things in Chicago.
