  1. On paper, that is one bad rotation.
  2. Exactly! Why Sox fans undervalue Crede so much is amazing. I don't care if he walks with Boras in a year. Right now, we will get NOTHING for this guy except a couple more lousy prospects that do nothing for our team NOW. Aren't you all getting sick of s***ty trades? This one will be another s***ty trade. What team is going to trade much for a guy coming off back surgery? If KW can pull off a Crede trade that benefits the Sox ... I will be happy but also shocked. We were going to lose Iguchi in free agency and let him go ... for what? It's as if we just simply lost him via free agency as well. A similar trade for Crede should piss off Sox fans.
  3. Southside I understand what you are saying, but to get scraps for Crede is absurd. Keep him and trade him midway through the season if we are not vying for the division title. Giving away Crede for lousy prospects is a dumb dumb move. KW needs to start making some trades that help this team now. His trades are growing old, ala Iguchi.
  4. Just what I was thinking. Stupid to trade him now. Who will gamble on the back? I think we need to make room for Fields and Crede and deal Paulie or Thome just because we actually can steal some real players for Paulie or Thome, not prospects.

This money thing has always baffled me with the White Sox. Didn't somebody price the Sox as one of the most profitable organizations in baseball? If the Sox were sold today wouldn't Jerry make about 50 times the amount he bought the team for? If the Sox shelled out the money, they'd obviously go from near last to first in a year. The Yankees make the playoffs every year because of money, nothing else.
  6. If I were one of those announcers he critiqued, I'd nod yes, yes, yes and say you are right and then after I signed on for another year I'd talk about whatever I wanted including Notre Dame and St. Rita on the broadcasts or in my case Bro. Rice. Agree with the guy who does the hiring and then do whatever you want. Who is this guy Brooks ... god?
  7. I wouldn't worry about the knot in the shoulder. Our crack medical staff thought Big Hurt and Maggs were done also. Maggs was awesome last year and Big Hurt has been decent the past 2 years. Hurt obviously is so slow on the basepaths it's probably been a good thing he's gone, but Maggs still should be a member of the Sox. Keep garland. If we want to win the division we need his innings. Javy, Mark, Jose, and the two younguns won't cut it. I love Buerhle but he doesn't strike a lot of people out and is a question mark each and every year; Javy is Mr. 5 innings still; Jose is awful, simply awful; and the two younguns are too young to count on. I'd rather gamble on Mark, Jon and Javy having career years, getting rid of the old one, and picking up a Byrd type veteran to go with either Danks or Floyd. KEEP GARLAND
  8. C'mon Kenny, it's only money. Sign Hunter and then move on to the next area of concern. Could Owens play left? Owens, Hunter and Dye might not be a bad of, not bad at all.
  9. Your lineup isn't bad, but surely we can do better than Richar. I could take Owens at the top, but not Owens, Richar.
  10. We do not want Emil Brown. Trust me. Most of you already know that we don't want him. Bad bad idea.
  11. Good post spiderman, can't argue with you. But like somebody said, the calendar says November and a lot can change. Let's hope.
  12. I think you are going to get your wish, but why would you be furious if inning-eater Garland is on our team next year? Don't understand.
  13. I have a gut feeling Crede and Garland are both going to be traded before Friday. Teams will enjoy dealing with us because of the success of our former players in other places. Maggs - BA leader. Frank - Done well. Rowand - Done well. Howry - Done well. Fogg - Done well.
  14. I'd rather have Uribe than Everett.
  15. Now that we have Uribe, our manager and GM should demand this guy spend the winter in Chicago and get him in shape. My gawd, they are paying him so much money and these big leaguers just steal the money by being big, fat slobs. Get in shape, Uribe, stay in shape and listen to your hitting coach and you might actually hit .275 and knock in some runs. The Sox should monitor this guy like a hawk and get him in shape. Then he will produce.
  16. He couldn't motivate Uribe so I guess he should be fired. I don't know anything about Cabrera's laziness or whatever. I know he's good. KW has been overpaying for everybody he acquires, so it should be an interesting offseason when the smoke clears of all the trades.
  17. I would say fans tend to think their own players, the ones they see every day and are able to scrutinize closely, are "overrated." Most players from other teams who they do not see every day are "underrated."
  18. Oh my gawd, how misplaced your brain is. Are you serious?
  19. I'll take it, Yasny. Finally a reasonable Crede comment!
  20. I have a sick suspicion it's going to be grinder-Eckstein. p.s. great win tonight, Brother Rice, my alma mater.
  21. No way you can get something good for that hack.
  22. Not for Betemit and the stiffs mentioned in the thread, you don't. I get it ... Crede is on the Sox so he's no good. We should trade him for anybody on the Yankees. Give me a break. The guy is a fantastic defensive player and nobody on here has yet to back me up on that. Amazing. Yeah Betemit is better than Crede. By all means bring in Betemit.
  23. I wouldn't. Why do you all hate on Crede? Assume his back will be OK. He's a great defensive player who can hit. Betemit? Yeah he's the answer. Geez, people. Show Crede some love.
  24. OK, I give up. Nobody on here is going to agree with me that Crede is a "great" fielder. I can't believe it, but not one person supports me on that. Amazing. As to why I don't slobber on Uribe's knob as you put it, I'm not gay. As to why I don't praise Uribe, I'm sick of his approach at the plate. Don't want him around anymore. I don't praise all White Sox, just the ones I think are good to great players. I think Crede is a great defensive player, not just a good one and an amazing clutch hitter. I think he's as good defensively as Brooksie.
  25. Is Crisp much better than Owens? Not so much to give up one of our best prospects. They must like MacDougal or Sisko. Trade em Big Mac.
