I didn't think Bonds' mistress' comments had been in the public til the Playboy Interview. And her tapes of him saying he would kill her I thought were new. I realize there are a lot of scumbags in sports but this guy is the creme de la creme. He defines everything wrong with sports. I just can't see bringing in a guy this old, this brittle, this selfish and THIS OLD. No way the Sox are that dumb, especially considering this is gonna end the same way the Marion Jones deal ended. With Bonds getting sentenced.

I agree completely with max. Owens is starting to win me over, but can't compare to Hunter or Rowand. He stole so many bases that I won't be pissed anymore if he's the starter.

Is Soxtalk.com a good place to request buying a few tickets next summer? Do all of you go to all the games? Or would you sell 2-4 on a given summer day? I am hoping my vacation finally coincides with the Sox being home next summer. They are always on the road when I come back which has sucked.

That is really really strong attendance. There once was a time a season like this would have meant horrible attendance.

Someone will sign him? Did you hear the tapes today of him threatening to kill that woman? He was a steroid freak and now he'll pay for it. What team would want to deal with what is coming for Barry? The woman said he was with that steroid guy who is now in jail all the time. They'd lock the door and Bonds would take the steroids. He's done. No team is that stupid to want that headache for an old guy who can't move. If the Sox sign him, all Sox fans should be finished with the team forever. Luckily they are not dumb enough to sign him.

It's funny. Some rich baseball players retire and just live off their current millions and future pension. Others decide to coach and/or broadcast. I wonder what makes some ballplayers just golf the rest of their lives and live off the cashola. And what makes others keep working. Does it have to do with ego? Laziness? Desire to acquire even more money?

Bonds is done with baseball is my prediction. Read the series in the NY Daily News starting today where his ex mistress says he took steroids and threatened to kill her and also obsessed about how the steroids changed his appearance and sexual performance. He's DONE!!!

I don't know if Williams is so stubborn. He thought he had a plan to improve the bullpen obviously with these tall relievers and that plan failed miserably. He thought Erstad had pop left. Erstad is no good. But why is that stubborn. He miscalculated on Hall, who sucks. So why is he stubborn? He may be dumb but not so stubborn.

Bonds should just retire. No team will want this prima donna. You've read the stories about him. He doesn't give a s*** about winning. He does his thing and leaves the stadium. Before games he sits in his personal massive chair and scowls at the media and his teammates. No thanks. Not to mention the drug distractions when his steroid case worsens. I'd rather have Sosa than Bonds and I don't really want Sosa.

I don't want him back but it's amazing how many bad pitchers are in baseball today. If anybody played fantasy baseball this year you know what I'm talking about. Except for the aces on each staff ... there are a lot of Garlands and Jose's out there.

I thought we all agreed Ozzie ball was a myth. We've been a home run or nothing team for a while now. Except of course the WS year when Pods did steal a s***load of bases.

I also didn't like KW's comments about Uribe in that Trib article you linked. Juan has proven he's not an everyday ss offensive wise. He's a head case as a hitter who won't do what it takes to get better. Time for Juan to try it somewhere else. Or else we'll be seeing him take that hard hack, swinging and missing again next year, or popping up of course when he should be moving runners. He sucks.

I would think KW and Oz both will be starting new next year. As much as I'd love to give them lifetime passes for the WS title, it's time to do better. Seeing Myers and Macdougal today made me cringe again and pray both of them are gone as well as never seeing Sisco, Aardsma, Masset, Erstad again. Uribe can take a hike too. As well as Jose. Bye guys.
